I’m enjoying TLOU2, so far. Can’t really see what all of the fuzz is about in regard to the complaints about political correctness or elements of feminism. I’m only about 10 hours in, though.
The weather’s been super nice here lately and I just haven’t had much time to play the game. Can’t honestly say that I care much for Ellie, her companion, or any of the few introduced characters at this point, but I’m sure that will change. I’m hoping to catch up soon, so we can talk about the game in it’s entirety.

I think all these articles, leaks and drama helped people remember that this came out right now, rather than picking it up in a week or 2. It helped put it in the back of the mind of casual gamers that may not necessarily keep up with release dates, etc.

The presence of Sarkeesian and then lesbian intercourse paired with the game designer's open beliefs is what caused such a prediction and I maintain forced political agendas is for hacks but clearly the designer is smart enough to focus on a story that is compelling and makes sense to the LoU narrative rather than his own subjective ideals.
From the comments above you can see it has not leaked into it, thankfully.
Either way I fail to understand how that prevents one from wanting to play what clearly is a masterful game.
Naughy Dog is losing little business if some spiteful individuals decide to "boycott" it.
The ratings will balance themselves out anyway.

I was spoiled that Joel would die, but I had no idea it would happen so early, or that it would be so gruesome.
Very fucking deserved. Happy Joel didn't get any sort of heroic death, the guy is a POS and got what was coming to him.
The one unfortunate thing is that Ellie was there to see it happen, and it wasn't pretty, so did feel a bit for her.
Wonder if the fireflies recognized Ellie? Abby looked like she might. Guess I'll find out.
It's also clear by Ellie's reaction that she doesn't seem to suspect much about the suspicious circumstances under which Joel 'saved' her. I also can't wait to see that reveal.
I knew ahead of time that the theme for this was something along the lines "revenge costs everything", so I was afraid that the entire village would die in an effort by Abby to get to Joel, so at least that didn't happen.

Tbh I wish it was Ellie who died since i don't really care much about her. Joel was my guy and seeing him jump by randomers like that was a bit hard to swallow. His feats in the first game didn't warrant this type of easy death. Ellie's response was weak too. I mean she should have shot Abby as soon she saw her. Not come in expecting there would be no one else lol.
But i guess they had to do it this way to progress the plot.
That part was the scene i saw before playing the game so i am quite happy it happened this early on since i didn't read anything other than this bit.
I too thought the entire village will die including Dina and then Ellie would go for revenge with Joel.

They probably assumed it was the broad shouldered chick. I still don’t know why they made her look like that. Seeing as they gave her a very brief, but somewhat «badass» introduction, she might’ve been a half-assed attempt at creating a female character that contrasts the norm.
Can’t say I’m huge fan of whoever it is that designed the characters in this game. It’s Druckman’s writing, and the upgraded combat that makes the game shine. I think most of us could’ve predicted that before the game was out.
