You serious lmao?

Feel like Mario and Zelda look *bleep* exceptional but other than that I'm not really interested. I need more tbh.

Also I'll be playing Zelda on the Wii U anyway as graphics don't really bother me.

Nah I was joking about day 1 FIFA. That Zelda trailer looks amazing and a probable GOTG contender.

But too many questions surrounding the other stuff they showed. A lot of their 'announcements' seemed in the very early conceptual and development stage which is worrying for early adopters.

I want to play Zelda but I'm not paying 350 pounds for it

lmao the pro controller is gonna be 70 dollars and the base joy-con thing 80

the Dualshock 4 in America is 50 dollars and 40 here so you can expect the Switch ones to convert to like 60 and 70 respectively

the pro controller isnt included with the switch either IIRC

so the console + zelda + a legit controller would cost in excess of 400 at launch, MADNESS

guess I'll be watching a Zelda playthrough on youtube

That confuses me because the Wii U pro controller which is basically the same thing was like 30 max lol.

But yeah I want to play Mario and Zelda but it's not worth this sort of money.

Also they announced after the event for some reason a enhanced version of Mario Kart 8 with new items, tracks, characters and a revamped battle mode.

Which I would buy as Mario Kart 8 is brilliant if I got the console but it's nowhere enough.

There's a Nintendo Treehouse thing today where they might reveal more games. Gonna wait for that before deciding to pre-order or not.

Tbh it having a small list of launch titles isn't great, but then I recall the PS4 having a small collection of exclusive on launch as well and relied a lot on ports and sequels.

Zelda, Fire Emblem: Warriors, Dragon Quest Heroes 1+2 and Dragon Quest XI, Xenoblade Chronicales 2 all sounds good to me. Throw on potential Pokemon titles and whatever Atlus/Bandai Namco throw out and it doesn't look that bad hmm

Zelda and Splatoon 2 have been priced at £60

Besides those outrageous prices, Zelda is going to take up 13 GB of space when the Switch only has 32 GB in-built storage rofl

It's such a great concept for a console but some things Nintendo haven't really thought through.

Surely they are going to have change some of this stuff by the time it releases lol.

Some of the things i'm hearing are so unbelievably thick even for Nintendo who are obviously known to be frustrating AF.

I'm kind of happy though, Nintendo's incompetence is saving me from myself.

Will just play Zelda on Wii U.

Only Nintendo would think to price their biggest launch title at £60 while also asking people to fork over £280 for the console. If you want another controller you have to pay another £60. Online is probably going to be £40 or more.

If not for it being a handheld as well I wouldn't touch this thing, even if there are interesting games on it. My main worry is that it's going replace the 3DS as Nintendo's main handheld system, and that I'll end up needing to pay £60 for handheld games that would have cost £35 max on the 3DS.

Either way, i'm leaning towards Mole's route, not completely bent on getting it, especially for one title. Funny, since i day 1ed Wii for TP, though had a decent games coming out back then (Warioware, Red Steel, Super Paper Mario and MP3 a few months later)

It's got 2.5 to 6.5 hours of battery life, depending on the game.

So anything demanding like Zelda will last about three hours.

They need to prove that have stuff coming and as of right now i don't see how i can trust them.

I think the Mario game will be fantastic, they always are and Galaxy 1 is probably the best 3d platformer ever made.

But what else is there? you know what frustrates me the most about Nintendo above all else?

The fact they flat out ignore all their other franchises for sometimes a decade at a time.

F-Zero? it's been 14 years lmao.

Metroid? it's been nearly a decade since Corruption

Pokemon? full fledged mainline console adventure? never.

Donkey Kong? before DKR on the Wii they went 11 years without a fully fledged entry which didn't involve bongo gimmick crap lol or 14 years before the last 2-d DK.

I'm sure there's more examples of this, what other company does this? even if they do they replace it with somebody else like Naughty Dog going from Crash and Jak to Uncharted and TLOU.

It's absolute insanity, sure they need new IP like everyone does but the fact they flat out go a decade at a time ignoring big time franchises is probably the biggest single frustrating thing about them.

Also this Zelda will be the first Zelda in 6 years lol, i understand that you don't want to completely milk and destroy this stuff CoD style but this is completely the other end of the spectrum.

Aye that too, there is probably more if i really researched it.

If they just released fully fledged AAA versions of these franchises plus a Splatoon like new IP every generation then the lack of software would not be an issue.

3rd party or no party, there's enough IP that they own that could make for enough quality titles to make a console purchase worthwhile for a lot of people.

They just don't take advantage of it.
