2-0 now. Honestly, Senegal are through to the next round and probably have to be early favourites to win this thing.

Nice free kick, if I wanted to be harsh, I would say a bigger, better keeper would have got to it, but that would be me being very critical.

Seems like we won't be seeing Mane back until the tourney is over.

You guys deserved it DoC. Wish our players had as much passion as tunisia. Algeria is just a bunch of individuals ever since gourcuff left

I dont know if it is coincidence, but ever since that Trump guy got inaugurated, no one has been talking about the African Cup. The man works in mysterious way.

If you are BVB fan, you will be happy to know the home team is out and Auba will be coming back to Germany in time for the start of the ruckrunde. Gabon did not look very good, seemed a lot of their play was based upon kicking the ball up front and hoping Auba would get to it. Burkina Faso wins the group, which means Senegal play second place Cameroon, should be an interesting match.

Today's games decide who will play Burkina Faso.
Senegal play Algeria, but really have nothing to play for, they already won the group, so not sure how they will approach this game? A draw is enough for Tunisia vs Zimbabwe, If Zimba and Algeria win their respective games, I guess it goes to goal difference, since they drew 2-2.

I am going to stick with my pick of Senegal winning this cup, even though they have a tough match vs Cameroon coming up.

Zimbabwae have scored to make it Tunisia 4-2 Zimbabawae at a stadium that looks like it has less people than the Trump Inauguration ceremony. Meanwhile it is 2-2 in the other game which looks to have huge crowds like you would see at the Trump inauguration ceremony.

Just got in, so missed most of the first half. As it stands at half time Congo and Marrocco are going through, but lots can happen.
Cote d Ivoire 0 - 0 Mar
The stats show Ivory Coast with more possession , but otherwise even. Cote d Ivoire need to win, Marocco will advance with a draw.

Congo 1 - 0 Togo
Togo need to win to advance

From the highlights Benatia came close to scoring a hand of god goal...in his own goal.

Ivory Coast going out? The Ivory Coast keeper was too far off his line and a good shot by Aliolu(sp?) makes it look easy. Congo leading Togo 2-0 in the other game.

Ivory Coast are the current CAF holders.

25 minutes to go.

not surprised all those so called favourites are going out of the competition. If you come into this competition only looking to play football then you will be in trouble. It's very physical and the conditions are not very good, you have to be prepared to fight. It's not a place where pampered stars can do as they like.

Nah, Algerias management is just shit and as a result our chemistry is zero. The beginning of the end started when gourcuff left.

Africa is physical but we've eaten these same scrub teams alive with massive score lines. We just needed to kill the big games under gourcuff, we were so close to becoming one of the most exciting teams in the world, but we suck ass now

Luckily my dad is morrocan. So I really hope we (Morocco) progress further.

The Man aint showin the African cup game today. Instead, Whitey is showin some EFL cup game between what looks like a couple of amateur side clubs.

Egypt leading already qualified Ghana 1-0, which means both go through. Dont know if Ghana has fielded a second string squad for this game? What I do know, is both these EFL teams are fielding 3rd string squads based upon their footballing skills.

Burkina Faso are into the final 4, beating Tunisia 2-0. This game was 0-0 and looking like it was going to ET and than penals. That was until Beyonce came on in the 75 min. Scoring a free kick within minutes and than the Tunisia keeper came way out, for no good reason, to gift a second. Still not a lot of people in the stadium, possibly more than the first round games, but not a lot more, if at all.

The next game looks interesting, Senegal Sane vs Cameroon.

0-0 at ht, Liverpool fans will be happy.
I dont know who will win this. Senegal started better, Cameroon got into the game, but neither team looks dominant or had any good scoring chances. Should have been watching the Bayer v BMG game instead.

0-0, going to extra time, Mane is going to be tired for that Chelsea game on Tuesday.

Actually, Senegal have looked the more likely to win this, which is why I am picking Cameroon to steal the win, probably in PK's

Cameroon with the best chance at the end of the 1st half of ET. Players look tired, I think Cameroon look less tired, but anyones game.

The Mane made it back in time to play and lead his schoolboy team to a victory draw with a great penalty save and goal. Granted, he was on the bench for those occurrences, but just his presence made both thing happen. Had he actually been on the pitch for the game, they would have won 24-0

So, with Senegal out, the favourites have to be perennial winners Egypt or Ghana. seems the most likely final will be between these two. Today Burkina Faso will try and keep their impressive tournament alive vs 100 time winner Egypt. Tomorrow's game looks to be a good one, "old rivals" Cameroon vs Ghana. I initially had Ghana ass my second pick(after Senegal), but i am changing that to Egypt now.

Not surprising that the stadium is empty and it is 0-0 after 60 minutes, but Burkina faso doing the pressing and looking more likely to score

Credit to Burkina Faso for equalizing 5 minutes after Egypt had taken the llead. The game went to Extra time and in my opinion BF looked the more likely to get a goal. But nnot to be, it went to Penals. The 4th player to take the kick for BF was the keeper, which you dont see that too often, unfourtanetly for him, his kick was saved by the 44 year old Egyptian keeper and Egypt are through to the final.
