The roles seem quite threadbare at first but once you go through it you notice the depth to it all.
They also added a bunch of random events which makes the world feel much more alive like the single player which makes the free roam much more enjoyable.
I got Bounty Hunter and Tradesman licenses for free.
I have not played much but is there anything beyond bounty hunter than...well the bounties? The tradesman gameplay is a complete rehash of Bikers in GTA Online. Don't know much about Collectors but it sounds like the worst out of the three.
The interview with VG 24/7 did sound promising. Obviously disappointed at no SP DLC but their plans for Online sounds good. Heavily hinted at Heists coming. It took a while for GTA Online to find its footing. Will be the same for this game.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Bounty change over time.
At first it's generic as hell, then they add more things like 4 and 6 man bounties and they've recently added legendary bounties. Yes it's just bounties though.
As for Collector if you simply focus on it then it's boring AF, i found it quite fun while doing other stuff and collecting when i come across them.
I should mention I've took a break from it since that post

Thats actually a remix of the main theme from RDR1 where you play as John as he is forced to hunt down Dutch, Javier and Bill by the government. So it had even more of an effect for those who played the first game. Amazing moment. This game had so many of them. Absolute masterpiece.

This game had so many legendary gaming moments, American Venom, Braithwaite revenge, the whole Guarma chapter, the Pinkerton ambush at Lagras. I get chills when I think about these moments. The music in this game is stunning.

It‘s a bit more serious with less satire, but awesome all the same. Make sure to play all the side quests too, they really add to the story! When I played it, I did all the challenges and unique outfits as well.
And obviously beware spoilers as the 2nd game is a prequel to the first.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Red Dead Redemption, John Marston's journey to bury his past and reunite with his family.

One of my GOAT games, maybe the GOAT second after BotW. A piece of art that touches you like a movie and makes you genuinely care about the characters like a good book does, all of that set in probably the best atmosphere in a video game.
Coming to think of it actually, I'll put it on par with BotW due to inarguably better story and characters.

yea doing it the stranger missions as well, dont know if i'll bother with the outfits though.
I'm at the stage where Reyes is about to lead the rebellion against the establishment.
interested in how it'll end, my suspicions thus far is that they're using John and there's actually no Bill Williamson in this game

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
I'm loving this game so far. I have only started playing it yesterday, but so far so good.
In terms of progression:
I only have two points of criticism so far:
1. There's no fast travel.
2. Unlike Far Cry or AC, I have no menu for missions and quests. This can be very irritating when you're looking for a mission. I always end up looking in the map to find any.
Also, I wish there was a way to tell which are the main missions and which are the side quests.
In terms of progression:
- Spoiler:
- I have just finished the mission of rescuing Micah from jail.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
Don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty certain that you unlock fast travel at some point. There’s also a cinematic mode that let’s you travel to a point automatically, as long as you’ve marked it on the map. I don’t remember exactly how you activate it, but i remember fiddling around with the pad in the center of the controller when I discovered it.

And the mission menu? Maybe it's there but I haven't found it yet?

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
You unlock fast travel from camp by upgrading Dutch's tent if I recall correctly. After Dutch's you can upgrade Arthur's which unlocks free fast travel to major towns. Other than that there are stagecoaches in all major towns for which you have to pay.
Also there is a mission menu that a lot of people never found lol. You have to tap on the left side of dpad (not hold). Found it out myself in Red Dead Online. Also holding Options button instantly opens the map.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2
@M99: thanks for your help, man
@Lucifer: Thanks my man I have heard great things about it and now I understand why. Apart from the story which is so exciting, the graphics are ridiculously good. I only had two complaints about it, but thanks to my fellow GL friends help, I take them back. The game is sback to being flawless in my book
@Myesyats: I'm only at 11% of progression. You have plenty of time to catch up. But while you're doing it, take your time, don't rush it. It's so beautiful, you'll want to enjoy every moment to the fullest without skipping anything.

Yep I will. Not gonna rush at all
I try my best to appreciate these top notch games. I tried to milk every scene in TLOU because it's just so beautiful and the detail, the gestures and every move is crafted almost to perfection, its just a pleasure to watch Ellie reload and handle every weapon, even such banal things as closing the door or breaking windows is so satisfying.

Thanks for the tips
Started playing today and was wondering where this freaking menu is. Only found the completed mission list. Its frustrating not knowing which mission is main and which is a side quest.
So far I'm struggling with the controls after playing TLOU for a month

Weather animations in this game is on another level. Storms, wind, rain is fantastic. The sky is beautiful at night and also when cloudy.
When there is a storm you can almost feel the wind and debris flying through the screen
