Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Not for experience, but for regular playing time and getting fit, and getting the fack away from our medical team.
We don't know what churn we can expect in the midfield next summer and it only makes sense to have that option open.
If they weren't a part of long term plans, might as well sell them right away. We don't seem to have any qualms about doing so with Gnabry.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Gnabry had a year left on his deal and was coming off a good Olympics. His value was as high as it was going to get and we either cash in or lose him for nothing.
Wilshere's value has decreased because he hasn't played, same with Campbell, but they still have time left on their contracts. For me, these are shop window loans. It's not impossible that clubs are reluctant to spend money on Wilshere given his injury problems.

Well, I see your point. And I hope that you are wrong, but I guess time will tell.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Ramsey will most likely slot in at RW when he returns. He can't play further back, can't play in the middle because Ozil is there, and has Bellerin providing width outside him so can help out in the middle.

I hope for this as well. But most likely Wenger benches Cazorla/Elneny for Ramsey and Walcott starts at RW whether he plays well or not.

Sky: Wilshere and Gnabry look set to leave but Mathieu Debuchy and Chuba Akpom are poised to stay and fight for first-team football.

Akpom's going to stay and fight for minutes with Giroud and Lucas. Well, good luck to him, I guess.
Debuchy staying = nobody wants him.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Andy Burton at the Emirates Stadium…
“I’ve spoken to representatives at Arsenal this morning who said they don’t expect any other significant incomings today. They did a couple of big bits of business yesterday with a combined fee of around £50m.
“In terms of outgoings, Serge Gnabry is subject of negotiations this morning between Werder Bremen and Arsenal. He has one year left on his contract but it looks like he will be sold. I don’t think he has any intention of signing a new deal here and I don’t think Arsenal would give him one.
“Chuba Akpom was looking for a loan move away, but it doesn’t sound like that is going to happen now. The feeling is that he will stay and fight for some first team minutes and the same applies to Mathieu Debuchy. Callum Chambers has already gone out on loan to Middlesbrough which removes one option of right-back cover for Arsene Wenger so it looks like Debuchy is happy to stay and fight for his place behind Hector Bellerin.“

Crystal Palace were the early favourites with Sky Bet to sign Jack Wilshere but it's now Bournemouth leading the way.

Roma pushing hard to sign Jack Wilshere on loan. Not a done deal but #CPFC & #AFCB pessimistic as they've had no update since yesterday #AFC

Werder Bremen will present Serge Gnabry at 15:30. Medical done. He's cost them €5m (plus possible bonuses), and signs until 2020. [Bild]

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
So a certain possibly fradulent Internet Bullshit Artist who talked about #madness all summer is saying that Arsenal are considering moving for a Premier League player they're interested in today. Apparently it's a CF.
The world from the Ornacle and, by extension, the club is that there'll be no more incoming players.
But who knows. Maybe something will develop as the day goes on. Crazy stuff happens the closer it gets to the deadline.

Roma/Arsenal deal for Wilshere not easy. #AFC angry at Roma conduct in Manolas talks this summer. Still hope for #CPFC & #AFCB #DeadlineDay

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has spoken exclusively with Sky Sports News HQ about the prospect of signing Jack Wilshere.
“Jack is a player that became available yesterday, so it would be silly not to get involved in that,” he said.
“Obviously there’s a lot of clubs that would like Jack, and I guess we’re one of them. But we’ve done so great in this window, it really would be the icing on the cake if we could get him across the line.
“We’ve got other targets that we’re pursuing as well today, so we’re having a look at those as much as we’re looking at Jack. In terms of where we stand, if we didn’t get anyone across the line I’d still be very, very pleased.”
