A Spanish journalist is claiming that we (and Inter) are after James, but Real Madrid want a bit more money than offered.

El Diario says Bellerin has agreed to join Barcelona and will now convince Wenger to let him go.
Six year contract, eh?
He's gone. Looks like we'll need a new right back.
La Parisien saying that Monaco and Mbappe have agreed to ignore all offers this summer.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Think its the annual Bellerin to Barca nonsense.
Been there with Fabregas, there is still some way to go before they pull a jersey on him and then go to the press with all cock and bull stories of his suffering and being kidnapped and their sense of misplaced entitlement.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Think there is high chance it's for real this time since no CL for Arsenal this year and the new Barca coach really wants to get things done early in the summer and prepare for next season. Question is who we would get as replacement for around 15 to 20 mil.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
It was always inevitable that Barça would come in for him. So long as we get £60m for him, I won't mind.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has already successfully replaced Bellerin this season and we can sign someone really good for half of that price. The rest should be be added to the improvement of the rest of the squad, especially a top class striker.
Mbappe might be a dream but I think we can get Aubameyang/Lukaku/Icardi if we offer the right money.

The CL argument is a myth that clubs like Liverpool and pre-2013 Arsenal used to fool their fans into settling for mediocrity.
So long as you show ambition (and money) big players will join you in any league and in any competition. I thought Man Utd, Chelsea, Inter, Milan and all the chinese clubs proved that.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Arsenal did not get those players before because they were not willing to pay for it. Period.
If they are willing to pay, they can get them.
Or do you think the players who joined Arsenal in recent years did so because Arsenal are a Champions League powerhouse?

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
my point is when you had all the champions lge money coming in wenger and the club wouldent drop £60odd mil on a striker so I cant see them doing it now.urbaNRoots wrote:Unique wrote:dude arsenal would not get them players when you were in the champions lge so why do you think you will sign them now.urbaNRoots wrote:It was always inevitable that Barça would come in for him. But we can because this is the last two years of Wengers dynasty and the club just went through hell with the fans last season. If there is anytime in his career to spend money, it is now.

Wenger:
“Between now and the tour we will work every day to get the best possible environment around the team and to strengthen the team,” Wenger told the official website of the club’s summer tour.
“That’s basically a lot of dark, invisible work. But that is demanded and that means never leave your seat without your phone, never go to bed without your phone, because anything can happen.
“We will basically be on alert 24 hours a day.”

All that counts for squat when there is 2 months of inactivity and nothing tangible.

Ospina is close to joining Fenerbahce for £3m. Could be confirmed next week.
Szczesny could move to Juve for £14m.
What's with these poverty prices ffs
