Greenland and the EU
Greenland left the EU in 1985 (after they held a referendum on it in 1982) and managed to negotiate a very favourable deal for themselves with the EU. It appears though as if now more and more people consider that returning into the folds of the EU proper might be a better option as they think that they might get better trade deals then.
