Don't forget MK Dons beat Man U and Man U beat Liverpool so MK Dons is better than Liverpool (:
Did you miss the Europa league?

Portugal in last Euro
Euro 2000 : semi-final (extratime)
Euro 2004 : final
Euro 2012 : semi-final ( penalty kicks)
Euro 2016 : semifinal or final
Not bad.
P.s. Portugual in Euro 2000 played a great football.

In any case, Portugal is playing awful so their loss can be fully explained be it today or Sunday. I wonder what would Germany's or France's excuses be?

Re: SF: Portugal vs Wales
I'm just hoping this is a better and more entertaining game than all of the Portugal ones. Except against Hungary they've been so boring and lacking a gameplan. The only clear idea I've seen from them was crossing 100 times against the physically superior Polish players.

I think RENATO SANCHES just made his 43rd failed pass of the game. Shocker of a performance.

Ronaldo equals Michel Platini's record for most goals in European Championship finals matches (nine).

Re: SF: Portugal vs Wales
With how the match went so far, I can actually live with a Portugal win. Their least embarrassing and negative game so far.

Meh. Even though it's only Portugal, this is quite simply above Wales level, Ramsey would have made no difference.
It's pretty poor that a team like Wales can make the semis, really.

Why? There's glaring examples in many major tournaments of smaller, less likely teams going far. Greece in 2004? Brazil in 2014?
I can only see Portugal beating France or Germany on penalties if anything. They're significantly out classed by either team, I guess it depends what kind of shape they're in for the final as they have a much tougher game and one day less of rest.

Re: SF: Portugal vs Wales
While that might be true, Ramsey was the link between every part of the team from defence to midfield to attack. Allen has had an atrocious game while Bale is looking hopelessly lost. Ramsey would have made that difference tbh. Been Wales' best player at the tournament.
But Ronaldo is unplayable when he is on it so there is that

If ''A team like Wales'' is making the semi then they should be praised. The only poor things are teams supposedly better than them such as England and Belgium...

The amount of chances Ronaldo has missed this tournament is comical

Yeah ok. Ramsey would have made a difference, agreed. Not enough of a difference though imo

He's missed chances yes, but just give the guy a break. He's most likely a shoe-in for the balon d'or at this point..

Why is Portugal's best crosser and free kick taker ( Guerreiro ) not taking free kicks and corners ?

Re: SF: Portugal vs Wales
Rui Patricio can take the free kicks and probably do it better than Ronaldo at this point.

Re: SF: Portugal vs Wales
And? Everyone missed chances, Ronaldo has proven himself to be a pretty good striker this euros. He's delivered when it mattered.
Interesting what his role is this tournament. He's a target man who actually holds up the ball very well. And he scores loads of goals. Dare I say his link up and passing has been excellent
One thing is for sure. He is a central player now.
