Can't wait for 5 moves of doom in both Wrestlemania world title matches next year tbh.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 27
Source: Reddit
On Monday's Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave and Bryan discuss how Apollo Crews was magically fine after getting beaten down by Sheamus. As Bryan expresses his incredulity, Dave interjects "Don't blame him" on three separate occasions. Later on in the broadcast, they discuss how Ambrose is perfectly fine, and this exchange occurs:
BRYAN: JBL says, "Last night must've taken a lot out of Dean Ambrose," and as he says this, Dean Ambrose isn't selling a goddamn thing. He's running and jumping and doing the whole thing--
MELTZER: Yup.
BRYAN: And so JBL pauses for a moment, and then he says "Well, he doesn't show it, but I'm sure he's hurting on the inside." And I'm like, is that how it is now? Nobody's selling anything, but we all need to know they're hurting on the inside.
MELTZER: There's a disconnect here because the talent wants to sell. You know that? They all want to sell, and they're told not to.
BRYAN: That's the directive now. This is a performance the fans pay their money for, and they wanna see you do all your stuff.
MELTZER: Yeah, they're told not to sell. But if that's the case, then why are the announcers still talking about selling injuries?

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 27
You can do all your stuff and sell, they always did it in the past.
No idea what WWE are thinking with that tbh. Also it must be selective because i still see some of them selling quite often, not all of them though.

Yes
Otherwise they wouldn't do it, also the product is consistently better than the main show. The NXT PPV during WM weekend was miles better than any WWE PPV put forward this year.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 27
They'll just be on the main roster instead, so you'll have to see more of people you don't like lol.
Besides i really doubt that's what it means, they have 100s of people in developmental and that's what it is for.
Probably means something to do with the Joe/Balor main event.

Doubt you ever watched it tbh. Because i used to feel the same way. No one can physically watch Takeovers from the last 12 months and i mean any of them and think it's crap tbh.
Especially those who are happily watching the main roster stuff

Main roster will eat them alive if all they have going for them is 'I'm a great wrestler who's travelled all around the world and I'm happy to be here'.

NXT has been a huge success whether you like it or not. Sold out arenas nationally and internationally, increased network subscriptions, merchandising etc it made WWE a lot of money.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 27
Yeah it's basically the main reason to have the network
I don't believe they are scrapping it though, they have too many people in development who are not even on TV that require it.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 27
NXT did a good job targeting a small portion of the current WWE fanbase. It would never work as the actual main show though.
There's people out there who hyped it up like it was prime attitude era and talked about how it would change the way we know wrestling.

The fact that you are arguing that it wouldn't means you are completely missing the point tbh....
It's never supposed to have been lol, although the ironic thing is that it's better than the main show anyway lol.

I dont feel the hype to watch it though.Just random characters everywhere.
I had been following TNA for a while though when they were bigging up EC3.Drew Mcintyre is doing well there too.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 27
I'm aware that it was never meant to be a top show. I was just referring to people who thought it would be the saviour of wrestling and how it would somehow draw in the masses.

Only watched some watches during that takeover before Mania, great matches as well but it's definitely an inferior product, you get the feeling of disgust watching it. Like buying second grade soda like Pepsi instead of Coke

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 27
I did enjoy NXT for the most part whenever I did watch it. But it was mostly because it was an alternative to the generic main product. It was something different. The arena, roster, presentation etc. However it wasn't necessarily better or anything.

WWE's bigger crowds/arena's,louder pops, more hype and buildup of the main show would captivate the non-wrestling fan more you would think.
Only hardcore wrestling fans would say NXT is a better product overall because they follow wrestling week in week out.
