Kosovo becomes full UEFA member

Great news for Kosovo and players who want to play! Perhaps not so great news for Swiss and Albanian team. I am not sure how will this be handled, but Kosovar player who play predominantly in Albania and Switzerland should be allowed to move to Kosovar team if they choose so right?

AFAIK they are still negotiating how they will handle players who want to play for Kosovo after they already played competitive matches for other countries, but it looks as if they will be allowed to change their country allegiance if they wish so. I'm not so sure that many current Swiss or Albanian international players will cry "here!" after they qualified for the Euro with their adopted countries, while Kosovo will likely have difficulties to get there at first.

I doubt any of them will want to switch considerig the state of football in Kosova, but the risk might still exist.

I doubt Xhaka and Shaqiri will want to switch but I can see the likes of Januzaj, Berisha, Rashica, and other less estabilished players joining the Kosovar NT.

Kosovo application for membership of FIFA approved decisively by 141-23

Wow I once read a book called Thirty one Nil by James Montague.

In that there was a part where an ex footballer who was now Kosovo Football federation President  and another man were visiting the hotel were Swiss NT was staying for one of their 2014 world cup qualification matches against Albania with a petition asking the players with Kosovar lineage to sign it which would allow them to become a NT.
He mentioned Shaqiri, Behrami and others signing but refusing/or showing apprehension to join the Kosovar NT if it becomes a reality in the future.

Glad their efforts paid off and they got recognition by UEFA.
