This is just end to end stuff. Nobody can hold on to the ball because there are no passing options.

Bertolacci needs to GTFO. We should bring Honda on for Bertolacci and move to a 4-4-2.

I agree. Knowing our management though. They love changing up our attackers like a vicious circle.
Anyways, Balo had another good game today. Hope he keeps it up, this might be the last chance to salvage his career.

I thought Balotelli was good too. The game, not so much. The whole team played like shit for the most part.
Defense was fine. In midfield, Kucka (whose ridiculous tackle led to the goal btw) was the only one who had a decent game IMO. Bartolacci was non-existent for the most part and Montolivo didn't really do much either.
Up front, we created a few decent chances and Bacca missed a couple before finally getting one in, but overall it was pretty bad. Jack got the assist for the goal, but that's literally the only decent play he made in the whole game, and squandered a few decent positions. Bacca got the goal with a very good finish, but he maybe could have done better with the earlier chances. Balotelli again had a very good work rate, was tracking back, defending and was very involved for most of the game. Now that he is actually getting to play a series of games successively, he is starting to make a stronger case for a stay IMO.
Didn't really expect much more from a team that's playing a new system that was introduced a couple days ago.

Re: If you smell what the Brocch is cookin: Sampdoria vs Milan
Overall, was happy to see a bit of life from the boys (though I had to fight falling asleep in the second half)
So far, I like Brocchi. He actually plays a 4312, which our team is built to play. If you all remember Miha's 4-4-2, we were definitely out of depth for that formation. Not to mention, we have too many midfielders to only have 2 in the middle.
Balotelli has been rather impressive. His work rate was something that humbled me yesterday, his composure on the ball, delivery and movement were all reminiscent of the old Mario. Also kudos to Bacca for sticking with it.
Another player that thrived in the formation was Kucka, who literally bossed the match. Was our best mid i felt. We all expect more from Bertolacci and this wasnt his best match, still waiting on his best form.
Also shout out to Alex for being a beast as usual. Abate as well.
I dont really know what this means for the team, but it was encouraging once we got going to see the potential. Miha tactics were so very rigid, i felt often it killed our attacking potential. Especially when Honda was on the left, it was embarrassing. This team seems less dependant on position of the field and more on build up play and quick passing which I do like.
Excited to see more from Brocchi's boys
