That makes no sense, you take a guy for what he is able to do, not how tall he is.

Shocking stuff here.
Some people on this forum claim to be experts on multiple clubs and players from different leagues, but obviously, people will rate the best player that they have the most experience/knowledge about - and clearly, fans of Spanish football are far more likely to have watched Casillas in his prime, compared to Buffon or Neuer, for instance. Does that prevent them from being biased and stating a subjective opinion as a fact? No.. but that's just how people are

I have not watched every game that Neuer has played. I hardly watched him play for Schalke, and I only watch Bayern play every now and then. And as such, I'm not really in a position to compare the two, although I find it hard to believe that Neuer has reached Casillas' peak level, already. With that being said, I think it's mildly tragic how fast people have forgotten about how good Casillas has been for Real Madrid, and how insignificant he's become in the grand scheme of things, considering what an absolute wall of a goalkeeper he once was.
I've noticed that people are arguing that Neuer is a more complete goalkeeper, but how exactly does that make him better? I could argue that prime C. Ronaldo had more facets to his game than Messi, but all Messi's ever needed were his mind/intelligence and his left foot, and he'd still be better than the former.
