Neuer v Casillas

I have watch Neuer play loads of time and personally I think his the best goalkeeper at the moment, but I havent seen much of Casillas.

what you reckon..?

casillas for me, cause he does it for us.

They're currently very close, but I say Neuer has the potential to be better.

He's a mini-Jesus, soon God.

Neuer is the best goal keeper in the world at the moment bar none.

I'd take Neuer over Casillas, Although Cech is still my favourite and First choice

Neuer was slightly shaky in the last games, but obviously the transfer drama took its toll. Now that everything is settled again, Neuer will excell again. Casillas hasn't been super perfect in the last games either, so they are at least on par, but with Neuer having far more potential still. Heck, the boy just turned 25!

Casillas is better. but we can discuss if Neuer's season were better.....

Casillas is the better player at the moment but Neuer is young and most goalkeepers get their best years at +30

Cassillas has been performing at a higher level so he is better by consistency. Neuer is a fantastic keeper at closing down and making himself big and is potentially better, Casillas is probably the best reflex goal keeper.

Neuer is also amazing in opening a game. Heck, he even has assists to his name

Casillias is the best in the world but I can see Neuer taking over in 2 years time and holding the title of worlds best.

casillas will just get older, while neur will just get better.

On a good day, they're equal, maybe Casillas might still have the edge, even.

I just prefer Neuer because he has less bad days. Casillas absolutely saved Spain at the WC (besides Villa), and single-handedly won Real the Beckenbauer Cup, but he also makes a mistake every now and then.

Neuer almost doesn't.

But to be fair, all world class goal keepers are sooooooooooooo close together in terms of performance, I mean, you can throw Cech, Lloris, Stekelenburg, a healthy Gigi Buffon etc. into the mix, there's very little difference between all of them. Great keepers just make it look easy. You only notice how great they are when they have an off day and suddenly you're watching a mortal trying to catch balls at 100mp/h.

Exactly that is the point. I always find it so funny when people say "Neuer can't be good, practically all balls are shot directly at him. Even I could save such shots!"

They never consider the fact it is his perfect sense of positioning that makes him anticipate the shots and stand right where the ball goes. I think some goalkeeper coach said that the best keepers are those that make things look easy. If they need to make heroic jumps and dives, that just means the keepers weren't clever enough to be already there where the ball goes.

Interesting, that why Kraft and Butt were always Jumping and flying. I almost thought they were good because of that, especially Kraft he almost fooled me with that but I always knew there was something wrong but then again when I see him fly I'm like wait a minute maybe his got potentials.
