I think LVG will always do what he doest best and get them a win against a team like Leicester but in the end I guess they will fail to make top 4 although it will be tight. And I think the reason will be, ManCity will thrash the teams which they are suposed to where as ManUtd's easy fixture list does sound exciting but they are going to draw 1 or 2 games from those

pretty sure there's a football league thread
follow the rules pls
forgot all about that guy though, had him on FPL a few years ago because he was cheap, thought he was in MLS or something, nice to see QPR still feeling the effects of handing out long term expensive contracts to scrubs from the PL days

Credit to Leicester's defence for carrying them to the title. Schmeichel, Simpson, Huth, Morgan, Fuchs, Kante. I cant see anyone even scoring against them at the moment.

Never seen a team with so many 1-0, 2-1 wins. They deserve it though and I'm happy for them.

Chelsea 04/05 immediately comes to mind.
Chelsea 04/05 had 11 1-0 wins and 1 2-1 win over a 38 game season.
They are currently on 7 1-0 wins and 4 2-1 wins, so 11 in total with 6 games to go. To put it into perspective.

I remember that season well. Chelsea's 1-0's were also jammy AF. Lampard deflections and Drogba pen dives in the final minutes!
Both sides unquestionably have/had awesome defence though. Maybe Huth picked something up from that season.

Its only these recent run of games that Leicester is winning 1-0. Don't forget their scoreline against the likes of City and Liverpool.

The funny or curious thing about Leicester is that their defence has only become solid in 2016, earlier in the season it was actually a bit shit, but their attack won them games. Just checked and they actually had their first clean sheet in the league in only their 10th match and just four clean sheets before the turn of the year.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V10
I agree. Their defence seem to have really lifted their game when it mattered. When their star attackers stopped performing as much as they were earlier in the season.
I think Schmeichel, Huth and Kante have always been having a good season but in 2016 Morgan, Simpson (who is their biggest liability) and Fuchs have really lifted their game and as a unit they are defending no worse than Chelsea in 04/05.

Their attackers are just burnt out. If they get depth players and keep their good players like Mahrez, Vardy, Albrighton, and Kante among others, as long as they strengthen a few positions they can remain competitive.

Relegation-threatened Aston Villa say they are spending less than £80,000 to "refresh" the club's crest.

Damn, I had offered them 81k. So close.
Had never realized they had the word "prepared" in their badge. A bit of a weird one? Other clubs have words like "excellence", "victorious", "pride in battle" or "world domination". Villa were just "prepared". And now they aren't even that.
