Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Obviously, the team should be very happy with their results this far into the season, but am I the only one who thinks that they've been extremely lucky with opposing teams consistently wasting their chances? I swear, I've seen opposing players miss more sitters and likely scoring chances against us this season, than ever before. It hasn't mattered how shaky the team has looked on occasion. Real Madrid's defense is by no means impregnable, but they still seem to always come out on top.
The match against Atletico Madrid was a convincing win, but many of the other matches could've gone either way, from what I can tell - and every time, it resulted in a draw or a win for Real Madrid. Impeccable record in the league, but the performances still leave a lot to be desired. Luckily, the other top teams seem to have issues of their own, these days... and that even includes Barcelona. I'm surprised Harmonica hasn't accused the deities of being biased towards Los Blancos, already.

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
GOAT manager in analogous vein to how he was a GOAT player.
Nerdy hipster wonks like @guest_07 may provide detailed historical evidence how we wasn't actually that great or influential, but in reality we can't remember anything else than him winning everything while being super clutch in the deciding moments.
First season, wins the CL with a demoralized Real team even die hard supporters counted as underdogs
Wins a clasico which noone would have dared to bet on Real
Serially defeating Atletico, walking the league despite Real suffering from both a transfer ban and Uncle Flo's racism diminishing their top purchases

He is. Being lucky is one of his greatest qualities, quite obviously. A quality that trumps any other, really.

I don't know if you're complimenting his ability to be "lucky" or dismissing his coaching qualities as luck. Either way, watching Carlo in a fedora with a pair of boobs in the background is making you more awesome than usual.

Zidane managing that RM squad like a boss. Maybe he can take treble. He has the fire power. The absence of Bale will be a huge dent though.

We have been without many key players and we've still gotten results. Bale may be off but both Kroos and Morata are back. So we should be able to manage

We still can question Zidane about player selection and subs or timing of them, but overall, I think his record speaks for itself. It is impressive, time we drop the rhetoric. We said he didn't have tactics, but I think he has proved otherwise.

I don't know. His player selection against Barça almost cost us the game, and his subs didn't make any sense to me. He also took too much time to introduce them.
Z so far has brought results, but he never fails to give you something to be worried about.

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Kinda funny, both Barca and Madrid have gotten results with their respective coaches: Enrique and Zidane, yet even when things were going well, both fanbases have been critical and wary of their managers ability.
Maybe we're both just spoiled. Idk. I still don't care for Enrique though.

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
The thing is, Z could've bagged all the three points had he played his cards right. Even with all our injuries, we could've defeated Barça last night. But he shot himself in the foot by starting Benzema, thus automatically reducing us to 10 men.
He got his tactics right against Atlético, but not against Barça. And if Ramos didn't save him at the death, everybody would be singing a different tune right now.
On the bright side, we played without Kroos and Bale and still managed to come home with a point from Camp Nou. Not a bad result at all.

Sack him. He only got 1 point against Barcelona away. Didn't he know there's a possible 3 points? Idiot manager, bring back Mou!

The Benzema issue aside, can you really say that he got his initial tactics and team selection wrong when Madrid Actually dominated the game up until the Suarez goal?

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
Do most fans agree he is doing a good job? RM have been putting out results so the dissenters have been silenced, but even when we get a good result the nitpicking comes out, like against Barca.
Imagine if RM would have lost to Barca, or heaven forbid 2 matches in a row without a good result- the Zidane Sack thread would be on fire, along with the other Zidane is a horrible manager thread in the RM section.
I don't easily forget the picture most posters painted about Zidane and how he is ruining RM when we were in a mild slump to start the season.

Re: Zidane Sack Watch
well, it's your choice to see things as black and white. Zidane winning doesnt mean people can't pick apart how he is winning, what's working and what's not. That's called criticism.
Yet being a critic doesnt imply that you want him sacked. It would be such a bad decision lol, and i dont even need to explain why.
