Can't wait to see Benitez pull off Pepe for next game and start Lucas Vazquez in central defense.

We were on right track this game until Pepe decided to become I don't know what to call.

Rafa wants to copy Barça in everything, even when they drop points
Pepe was pathetic today, cost us the game. I hope we never start him again as long as Varane is fit
Bale ffs

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
Chad, as much as I do agree with your comments theres noting good coming from firing Benitez. We can't rely on another coach at this point in the season.
The midfield today was great but loss their footing when Valencia pushed up. Both Bale and Benzema were great and Ronaldo was nowhere other than an assist. And no subs from Benitez not even for James, he's making a statement to both Isco and James.
Carvajal needs to get fit asap and Varane needs to make way for Pepe.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
@Perucho rafa is acting like a douche, benzema is the main threat in the attack and he is getting subbed anyway, then everything went to crap as soon as he is off the field, if your gonna man up to drop isco and james, then sub cr too, its stupid to punish some and leave the rest.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
I agree Benzema shouldn't have been subbed off. But that wasn't the main problem. We lost because of Pepe mainly, then for not having enough intensity and then for that red card. Not to mention two clear penalties.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
He had to take a striker out... last 30 mins of a tight game away against a tough opponent, you can't leave a tiring kroos/modric/kovacic to defend the middle. I don't like Vazquez though as i think he's garbage... but you do need to give that midfield support.
Rafa played for the draw. Problem is, this is La Liga where draws away aren't good enough. In Serie A and EPL, they're fine since the competition is more stiff.

im not excusing pepe and kova lost his head cause he thought cr should have had a pen and he kicked out.... it happens, but we are 1-1 and your taking off your main threat? politics subs and starts is the reason the team can't win anything.

Regardless of who the coach is Ronaldo won't be subbed or benched we just gonna have to live with that as long as he's here

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
of course so when he sucks, he should be held accountable alone like how it is for bale and benz, and not the front 3 argument that being used this season.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
No way Ronaldo gets subbed... just as Rooney doesn't at Man U, Ibra at PSG (he's playing well now though), etc.
Some guys are at such a status that you can only sell them... while on the club, you're obligated to start them without subbing unless forced to.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
rafa is confused, very confused ; i can't wait till this season is over- don't want him to be sacked now because i hate when teams hire coaches in mid-season only to get rid of them when the next season starts. the team isn't good, even when we show glimpses of brilliance, i always get the feeling we are one mess up away from throwing the game...because when that mess up happens, we have no idea how to come back. one thing i find interesting about this game and our last game against sociedad; when teams have the ball, it doesn't take them long to get into our half, its like i blink and they're already in our half....its been an ongoing theme all season long (obviously not against out good friends malmo, getafe et al). even if we shore up our defensive effort, the creativity is zilch, it has been zilch since last season. and rafa needs to only coach mid-table teams from now on....this is far above his level

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
Kroos sitting deep in front of the defense is a disaster to me.... complete disaster. He can't tackle or recover the ball. The opposition acts as if he's not even there lol.
If you notice, the CBs can't cheat wide at all because they don't have cover in the middle. That's they seem always late covering wide.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
I do not buy this all "CR can't be benched or subbed" bs...
It is not as if he is playing so great and Mou benched him like he did against Saragosa some seasons ago. The guy has been shit...and it is there for all to see. The media, the players, the president, the coach...the fan.
What do you guys possibly think will happen if he gets benched? The guy does not track, has lost speed and technicalities, provides pretty much nothing in important games.
By he way...when last did Ramos look decent or win a challenge cleanly? Look at his movement on the second goal. It is not only on Pepe.

yes and when same thing happens to casemiro none of you talk about it either, plus modric and kova was getting dribbled just as much, but hey they dribble more so free pass it is.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
modric kroos kova will get dribbled all day, that's all day. none of them is a defensive midfielder (i haven't watched inter in years, so i don't know what position kova was playing there). we are an extremely arrogant club. the only club that think they can go through a season without having any tacklers in the middle of the park. casemiro gets dribbled too and i've heard people mention it. the feud isn't with the players- you always assume it should be a "this player sucks more than that player" or "this player farted and coughed, but when that other player farted and coughed nobody said anything"
my guess is most people on here are frustrated at the system, and the players...and i saw that when the team of the season was released a couple of days ago, with bale danilo marcelo modric on the team, and madridistas were saying, NO madrid player should be on there. if we are to start discussing flops of the season, we'd have posts to fill two decades
but yes, we are an arrogant club, the same mistakes we made ten years ago with figo becks zidane and guti (solari) in midfield is what we are making now, and i think we r the only club ever that does this "offensive players play in defensive mid" routine.... i don't want to talk about rafa, anytime the cameras show him i feel like slapping him, but we asked for it, we wanted carlo out...lol we practically made carlo a martyr

tito doesn't matter which way you spin it, some player are always at fault when others are not, casemiro has played against good mid as well and done zero that is a fact, the team needs to defend as a unit there is no one player fix end of story.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
nobody has said there's a one player fix end. as a matter of fact, my idea for the summer is to get the right manager, with the authority to say who he wants and doesn't want on the team. my concern has never been for the players, i want titles first and good football. if the club sold cristiano, bale, benzema, modric, james, kroos and all those boys, brought in kompany, john terry, heskey to replace them; and kompany and heskey win us titles, i'm going to support it 1000 percent. i'd rather my team win 1 nil than us lose 4-3 and a player i like gets a hattrick. debating about who sucks more or catering to one player isn't my forte, i believe these players have personal assistants for that

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
My concern with the current crop of players that have been here a long time is simple: They haven't won much while here and they may just take Real Madrid for granted. it may be a good idea to shake things up a bit to bring excitement back on the squad.
It's not like this generation has been successful. it hasn't. For me, you need to start transitioning in a new generation.

Re: Valencia vs Real Madrid 03/01/16
I said at half time, BBC is such a piece of garbage it's hardly believable. There are things in football that if you respect, you will cause troubles to whoever you play against, even without world class players. THat's spacing and alignment. For all the talent that BBC have they cant put that together and actually contribute to the whole team creating offense and movements. There were two guys doing their jobs in that attack today: Benzema down the middle, Bale on the right. The third one, Cristiano decided he wasnt interested in being a winger and abandoned the left. So obviously in the first half the attack was completely out of sync. EVERYONE has to do their job...They stuck to position in the 10-15 first minutes of second half ad produced more offense than in the whole first half.
Here is where Ancelotti was a little clever than Benitez, he knew of CR tendencies to drift inside and was leveraging positions in 442 much more to get movements. Benitez cant see it, so to force players into positions, to keep wingers on both side of the pitch, he subs out Benzema and move CR centrally. It's terrible, I dont even know what to say.
But right now, we have some spineless team, the way that we get into games and then let them slip away is just ridiculous. I have seen this in the past 3 years, and it's getting worse. We have no intention as a team to win the league so i am going to stop hoping. in the past 3 weeks we have had chances to catch up Atletico and Barca and we fumbled both times. That's inexcusable. Carlo was doing the same shit in la liga and that's why i supported his sacking in way. It's not any better now if we have to be objective.

Well, the Cristiano era needs to end, needs to be replaced by something else. It's someone else's turn to drive our offense? who? well...sportsczy wrote:My concern with the current crop of players that have been here a long time is simple: They haven't won much while here and they may just take Real Madrid for granted. it may be a good idea to shake things up a bit to bring excitement back on the squad.
