This could be a tricky one but with Ozil ready and fit to go, I'm confident Real Madrid will win this, I'd go for a 4-2 score line, goals coming from Ronaldo, Benzema and Ozil.

I think winning this will be great for morale plus you just know no one is going to let us live this down if Atleti win lol

Yeah... i usually don't really care about CDR unless we're playing Barca or Atleti. Not losing to Atleti is more important to me than the trophy lol.

There's very little excuse for us to lose even with Varane out.

Winning this while it's nice probably wouldn't make up much for our season, but losing this at home to Atletico easily makes our season like million times worse, lol, we have to win. If there's some truth on what Pepe said about they thought it would be easier when they faced Dortmund in 1st leg, hope they don't think that way of tomorrow game.

Loss in this match would be a quite bitter pill to swallow, despite of being Mickey mouse cup. And for me, it doesn't matter who the opponent is but at least we would have something to remember from this year (other than Mou's personal circus) and would end the season in the high note.

Unfortunately, this one has all the makings of an ugly affair: two fierce rivals, Mou's team in a Cup final, a match in the home town of both teams, the world's most despicable player Diego Costa and our wild CB's, a 14 year dominance and a recent B-team win away from home.
Could get ugly really fast and it will surely be very cagey, especially as we play on the break and because I can't see Atletico winning this if they fall behind. Still, we should be clear favourites for this one and I am positive Mou will want to leave on a high - 2-1 for RM.

Main question is who partners Ramos in the middle? Pepe or Albiol?
I personally prefer Albilol coz he's been solid when called up this season, and pepe just hasnt gotten into the game after his injury.

Mou can GTFO now for being a coward and getting himself kicked out of the game (on purpose imo) and for the disgraceful season.
Di Maria, Arbeloa, Khedira and Higuain should move on too. All of them gave max effort... but we need fresh blood and they are the easiest to replace. No booing, because that's stupid. They all played hard.
Essien did very well in place of Pepe. Played the exact same role = get raped and cost us goals.
This is all on Mou.
FFS!!!

The truth is that Real Madrid isn't a club to loan 30 y.o players.

We should sell Di Maria, Kaka, Carvalho, Coentrao
Buy a Xabi replacement - > Verratti/Gundogan, a winger with a brain, can't think of any, Bale seems like he's staying at Spurs, Carjaval,

dont know why he played three men in midfield. dont like it.
everytime we play that system we lose. it kinda seemed like the champions league semi with bayern last year. we settled, like we wanted to go into extra time.
some fans have bad memories, mostly madrid fans. They forget easily, so fickle, sportsczy.

What a match, we played well for large parts of the match, hit the post three times and failed to find the back of an empty net thrice or twice, we were just so unlucky.
That aside, the team should have kept it's discipline, Atletico wanted to get a reaction and they got it, Ronaldo was too edgy he should really have calmed down.
Sad way to end the season but there's always next season to look forward to. Congratulations to Atletico for winning their tenth CDR and breaking their 14 year winless run.

3 man midfield saved us lol. Modric saved us. Without him, we get killed. athe problem was that the other 2 are slow and poor technically.
The fullbacks were atrocious and then Mou subbed out the best one and made it even more atrocious. Main issue with this team since forever on offense is width on the attack.

I think Modric got injured
this 3 man midfield will never work why is it so hard to play our usual formation we are not underdogs ffs
Also Ozil on the wings it is like Mourinho never learns

Re: Copa del Rey: *El Derbi Madrileno* - Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid discussion
we get overrun with 2-man midfields against any decent team. Last night, we weren't overrun at all. In fact, we were unlucky for once, not completely outplayed in the midfield lol. Issue was the fullbacks.... and then taking out our best olayer of the game (Modric) after 90 mins.
Even when they weren't outmanned, Khedira and Alonso could not play out of their zone almost ever. Modric was killing himself trying to create flow, but he was alone in the midfield doing that.

Re: Copa del Rey: *El Derbi Madrileno* - Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid discussion
we might not have been overrun in midfield but we couldn't contain their wide players. Simeone specifically waved at his team to attack the wings. While everybody know our weaknesses and exploit them we do the same shit different day
Also Khedira being our attacking player and Ozil not even being on the wings half the time. seriously id rather we get overrun than play so disjointed. this is Atleti as well ffs we win againwt them with our b team I dont exactly know what mou was scared of. he is such a coward doesnt matter who we play he always play a formation we can't use

also look at simeone he accomodates both his forwards in a 4-4-2 formation. our coaches ever thought of doing that eh?

Re: Copa del Rey: *El Derbi Madrileno* - Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid discussion
we got attacked wide on the left because they saw Essien/Albiol side as the obvious weakness and they were right. Essien replaced Pepe and did exactly what Pepe has been doing recently = get owned and cost us goals.
