I can vividly remember how worse Arsenal became in 2014 when Gibbs had to go off injured after 15 minutes and Monreal came on.

Unreal how good he has become since then.

From liability to top 5 left back :bow:

He found it difficult to adjust to the physicality. Lukaku destroyed him 2 years back. From that game he has grown so much

Really looking forward to suarez/messi and neymar vs Monreal and Bellerin tbh.

Might lose 7-0 on aggregate, but all the goals will come from Cazorla losing the ball (:

He was never a liability. That's just bullshit spread from Gibbo fanboys when he was first choice.

Monreal got in the team when Gibbs was injured, we didn't have any other option - only THEN did Arsenal fans notice that he is actually very good.

Anyway we're lucky to boast of two high quality LB's. Not many teams have that luxury.
