What next for Chelsea?
Who do you think will / should be Chelsea's new permanent manager?
What changes in the squad he should be making?
Some rather uninspiring names have been mentioned to take charge until the end of the season, like Hiddink and Ramos. Surely there will be more convincing options available in the summer, yes?
Guardiola? Probably not.
Simeone? Would be interesting.
And that concludes the list of attractive options.

Squad is quite good atm, good enough for top 4 anyways. A lot of players just need confidence and they will start performing.

Re: What next for Chelsea?
They still have a good squad, the players who downed tools for Mou will suddenly perform again and they'll climb the table.
Just in time to play us in 10 days time. Why couldn't chelsea wait till after that game to sack him, dammit.

Pep Guardiola... i don't think it's a coincidence that Pep tells Bayern he's leaving Bayern at the end of the season the same day that Chelsea sacks Mourinho.

Re: What next for Chelsea?
Their squad is crap. Aging and unmotivated players in crucial position . Unless they sign some first team quality players there is no way for them.
They need to bench JT,Ivanovic so a CB and RB are must.
Matic has been crap all season, need some one for competition. A good enough striker is also must. Fraudsta has been found out.
@sportzy
Dude Guardiola already agreed a deal with city.

Chesea won't play the Champions League next year, many underrate this factor but it can influence some choices.
I mean , I can't watch a Pep Guardiola choosing among some top clubs a club to not play the CL...

That's an excellent point . That bit effectively rules Pep out of the question , unless Abramovic literally breaks the bank to get him . Even so , there's no way he will stay out of the CL . I could see him do this maybe for Barcelona , but not for any rich club , no .

Re: What next for Chelsea?
Why would Guardiola go to Chelsea anyway? There is not good blood between him and Chelsea. Not that I think that would stop him on its own, but it's that plus a likely lack of CL football and the fact that Chelsea need some new players as well (Guardiola said they need "10 new players") that makes Chelsea a destination that isn't likely for him.
He would rather go to City where he can get a lot of $$ and inherit an already great squad that plays attractive football that will get the players he want as he chases more CL's.

Re: What next for Chelsea?
I feel this the chance for Liverpool to try and take that fourth CL spot and permanently kick Chelsea out of it. Chelsea were in a downward trend since Carlo was sacked, and Mou seemed to change that, only to sink them further in.
I don't feel Abramovitch is as interested in his toy as he used to be, and the Oil money is not drying out of City's pockets just yet.
If Liverpool cannot capitulate in this chance, they might as well give up and join Newcastle at the bottom of the table.

We might not, Not this year atleast. Too many passengers plus injuries in the squad. Klopp will need some of his own players.

Re: What next for Chelsea?
simple
They wont win the league or the CL for at least the next 3 to 5 years.
The paradigms have already shifted and they are way behind.
The moment they chose conventional wisdom by firing their most successful manager, they have chose to meet this end.
It doesnt matter who comes and goes now.

Re: What next for Chelsea?
Finishing in the top 4 is still fairly doable for them.
As for the CL, it all depends on the manager. They certainly have the talent to go far. Hiddink and RDM are testimony to that.

Re: What next for Chelsea?
They need to replace half of the first 11 to compete for the CL tbh. Get a CB and a LB, play Azpi in his natural position. Get a sub for Matic and a partner for him. Matuidi has been linked to Chelsea in the last months. Get a wide forward ala Greasseman, Reus etc. Also a striker is much needed. Alex Texeira is a done deal, isn't he ? Willian isn't a world beater but good enough.
Get rid of the scrubs Ivanovic, Cesc, Oscar, Costa (maybe I'm forgetting some)

Re: What next for Chelsea?
We (or they) need to wait and see a handful of games what happens. There were problems between Mou and some of the players, if they now start playing better again, then Chelsea won't need to replace too many players. If Matic and Hazard get back to their last season's level, they're already going to make many players around them look better.
