That's been the rumor for quite some time, especially considering EA keeps talking about that they haven't entered the " open world action genre much".

Also the job listing info i posted before seems to have things linked to an open world game.

I traded in Fallout 4 (it's shit, *bleep* open world) for the new Rainbow Six Siege and holy shit, this game, it's so damn tactical. You cannot run around like a headless chicken here, otherwise you'll die and screw your team over. I've already heard complaints from CoD fanboys about how the pace of the game is too slow, but you have to take it slow, especially in ranked play, otherwise you'll get thoroughly raped.

If I had to rank this winter's shooters in order of how competitive they are MP wise, it would be;

Rainbow Six Siege > Halo 5 > CoD:Black Ops 3 > Destiny:The Taken King > Battlefront

Settings are a big thing for me in open world games, TES has GOAT setting with Tamriel (Oblivion gates, Cloudruler temple) and Skyrim (Tundras, Throat of the world) very memorable settings.

Fallout not really for me, i hate post-apocalyptic settings and think they're tropey af, barely finished F3, no idea how people will gobbling up the wasteland setting 5 games in a row

Wanted to give it a second try and play it with you but it was too late.

One of my friends bought so might try it out when I visit him during the holidays

Gameplay, Story and quest design imo. Witcher nailed it, every Rockstar game does and to an extent so do the Batman games.

Sometimes the Ubisoft games do as well but the results are mixed there, not sure if Mass Effect counts but if so that too.

S&D is pretty much the only online game mode right now, but the game is tons of fun once you get more experience with how the game works. Shame I couldn't play with you that day. If I remember correctly, I got home pretty late the day before the beta ended.

Them over the top, melo-dramatic, anime-esque cut scenes, the opening would probably show Zidane in the tunnel or some other legend with a hoodie on in an empty stadium saying "The world is your playing field!" or some such thing

That 1 hr cutscene showing how to correctly curl the ball in (ala MGS3 how to hold a knife and gun)

That 4 hr cutscene after the CL final
