SD Éibar vs Real Madrid

Honest to god I didn't have the energy or enthusiasm to create this topic. I just had to given that the game is a few hours away and it still hadn't been created yet. Anyway, Rafa Benítez has named a squad of 19 players for Real Madrid's La Liga matchday 13 fixture against Éibar at Ipurua (Sunday, 4pm CET).

REAL MADRID SQUAD:
Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Casilla and Rubén Yáñez.
Defenders: Pepe, Nacho, Carvajal, Arbeloa and Danilo.
Midfielders: Kroos, James, Bale, Casemiro, Kovacic, Modric, Cheryshev and Lazo.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema and Lucas Vázquez.

Probable Lineup: Navas; Carvajal, Pepe, Nacho, Danilo; Kroos, Modric, James; Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema.

Personal Notes: This is probably the lineup Rafa will go with. But if it was up to me, I'd bench Kroos and Benzema and field Kova and Casemiro.

I'm not sure of winning anymore with Rafa in charge and Danilo in the field. I just hope for the best possible outcome.

Why Mayoral hasn't been called up? I don't understand why Benitez hasn't given him a chance.

why does Mayoral needs a chance? besides, we did not need a CF on the bench, LAZO is a wide forward and fits in better for jese.

Not to mention that the best attacker in castilla is Mariano, and by a mile right now

kroos has not been looking good this season.

I would put it down to benitez tactis and strat. but he has been under performing.

I wish we had played with this midfield against Barça. Kovacic for god's sake

Kovacic is being very meh lol, i dont see any reason to praise him whatsoever

kroos looks mediocre as usual and modric is struggling

Our level of positional play is almost depressing

At least effort is there from players. Kroos in Ancelotti's team would be giving us another one of those clean game but Benitez really dont train the players to keep the ball it is obvious.

Another reason is that the CBs are Nacho and Pepe both very bad on the ball hence they have banned passing between them lol...that also effects the passing. I would like to see how this midfield work with Ramos and Varane.

Carvajal Injured. The amount of fouls Modric received i am surprised he didnt come off injured.

In the last minutes, Eibar turned into thugletico and started making very violent tackles left, right and center.

Carvajal is injured. Kroos and Modric are limping out of the field.

I'm lost for words. This injury plague is affecting us and only us. It's crazy!

I'd like to see the same midfield again. Kova played brilliantly defensively and Modric's possession game is exquisite.

Ronaldo needs to stop taking freekicks and Bale needs to stick to the left wing. BBC is dead and buried, I hope we'll never see all three starting again. One of them needs to always get benched.

Overall, this is a positive result. Barça looked like crap against Eibar all while playing at home. I think we've done pretty well given that Marcelo, Ramos and Varane are all out and we played them in their own backyard.

CR was never an "ultimate finisher" and i dont know who ever called him like that lol. He is a high volume scorer, that's pretty much it

Pretty clear that Rafa and Madrid are transitioning away from Benzema which is a good thing. I hope the winning continues so the club isn't forced to change direction.

He is, but he should play in the middle, maybe as a false nine or ss whatever you want to call it, Bale on the left, and Cristiano upfront on the right

Yeah, im surprised we are not even trying the diamond. Isco has been underperforming on the far right all season, and James returning looks almost as bad. He is not a winger, will never. If we cant play him in his n10 role, we might as well just sell him because he will continuously underperform.
