I was really happy with our performance last night against Villa. The last months there was a strong competition beweet Gumbau and Samper. Gumbau got more minutes (undeserved) then the great talent Samper and was horrible in his minutes, but yesterday he showed us why Enrique keeps him on the pitch. He is a limited technical player but he had a messi-esque pass on Vermaelen showing what he can do. He didnt lose the ball alot and was a reliable defensive midfielder.

Samper played a role more upfront yesterday; he got some freedom to roam with the ball and even get in the opposition's box - even tho thats not his strongest position. he didnt do to bad in this role, but he had to make some defensive tackles; he lacks explosiveness/speed and thus he has to cover with his back, makes him late sometimes. with the ball he was great, maybe he can play some minutes aganst leverkusen.

ramirez was awesome - 3 goals and a guti-esque assist on Munir!! hard woring, keeping the CB's occupied. when Suarez is injured he could be his stand-in against shit team.

Munir, Aitor en Adriano are horrible. Munir might be sold this winter - he just doesnt seem to prove it.
