I don't know am I expecting it, but really hoping for that top-4 finish. What I'm real happy about is that the belief and therefore the excitement is creeping in me. I guess that means I'm expecting it? Get in!

So what's our expectations now???

I think top-four finish is fast becoming (or already has) a fantasy. I would be surprised if we even finish in top-six. I just hope we take the Cups seriously and make something out of this season.

Yeah, I'm giving up on top-4, Klopp's had some time now but you can't tell what's changed in our game. Five goals scored in our last seven games. Just looking to see what happens between now and May, but not expecting anything any more.

I don't think top-4 is a fantasy. It's very much there for the taking, especially given the rest of the league's inconsistent play this season. No one (with the possible exception of Leicester, who we beat) have looked invincible this season. Should we fix our scoring issues, we could easily still find ourselves in the top-4.

Now, the real question: should we expect it?

This is much harder to answer, as there are many unknowns still swirling around this squad. The squad itself is still very much Rodger's creation. Up to this point, Klopp has been cooking with another man's ingredients. Now, I don't mean to say that the squad is utter dross. However, we are painfully short in several key areas (Striker, Defensive Mid, Winger, and CB are the highlights). After January, we may begin to see the squad beginning to take shape under Klopp. However, even this will likely not truly begin until the summer.

Given the inherent squad issues, and the abysmal injury record over the course of the season, you could make that case to prioritize the cups over the league this season. Especially with the Europa League's newly-instated honey-pot, it makes more sense for Klopp to prioritize a trophy (and potentially CL play) through the cups than an all out blitz for top-4.

Personally, I have a hard time writing off the season after the first fixture of the new year. I will at least reserve my judgement until after January, at which point we will have made any transfers, know whether we are progressing to the League Cup Final, and know whether we have progressed in the FA Cup (I would certainly hope we can be Exeter...). From there we can make a better judgment as to our chances in the league (and domestic cups) and make an informed decision as to whether we should prioritize the Europa League.

Agreed, but we are even more inconsistent. I can come to terms with the losses against in-form teams like Palace, Watford and WHU; but dropping points against Newcastle or WBA is beyond logic.

Agreed, but I expected some ingenuity from Klopp here. Why don't he drop one of the #10s for Ibe or try one of them pairing with a striker?

I don't think we will be able to add any player in January who can make any difference. However our get out of jail card is right with us. The players need to wake-up and Klopp needs to shake the pot.
