Nacho needs to leave asap, isco serves no purpose as usual he played 10 in a free role sucked, no creativity, no positioning and no vision, jovic is unlucky this preseason can't even see what he is made of cause RM never service the cf position, it amazing that these players like Marcelo and Ramos rather go for shitty bicycle kicks instead of simple side foot pass to benzema, bayern, arsenal and atleti have no problem using their cf as primary options but RM uses everybody but the forwards backwards team.

Better effort from the kid. Was the Kubo shot at the end our first from outside the box? He's abit of a headless chicken but I'll take that anyday to present Modric

When the starters played, we got completely run off the park. We made them look like Barca a long ball and Felix has time to get the ball down with absolutely no pressure. Imagine if Carlo got his wish playing Kroos as the anchorman rofl

Rodygo clearly has experience on the right, it shows. Vini looks like a complete dud out there and we all know he isn't. Just give Hazard a free role, drop Isco into the shadow realm and see if Benzema or Jovic gets us some goals. Start both to all I care.

Just hope Zizou stops it with the Modric-Kroos double pivot. Just, so fucking awful now.

Kroos looks 50 and Modric is 50. There's nothing you can do against a midfield like Atletico's when you're fielding corpses.

Zidane playing his favorites is making us play like this. Marcelo, Modric, Kroos.. Nacho and Vasquez not madrid quality.

We scored three goals, thats a fact. So its hard to blame the attacking tactics. Crossing is not a bad tactic, BUT, playing grampas in midfield and fullback is gonna leave you so exposed.
When you cross the ball you need to be ready to regain it. Look at liverpool, how their midfield hustles as soon as they cross the ball and prevents counter attacks. Midfield and fullbacks were the problem today. Love how mendy is looking but Marcelo is just awful now.

Kroos was actually the only competent midfielder out there

And had as good a game as he could with a poor defense behind him and positionless midfielders alongside him.

The last two goals were pretty much consolation prizes. Offensive tactics were way off.

Kubo and Rodrygo showing they deserve playing time over Isco and Vazquez right away.

I know people are saying it's early preseason- but it's a bit crazy that we are even this far in and still need reinforcements to the same areas.

We got a ST and that is great, but we really need a RW and 2 CMs as we have needed since last season.

we don't need a RW though. Vini and Rodrygo (and Asensio before he got injured) are the candidates... not to mention a 442 with two strikers where we wouldn't need anyone.

The issue is that Casemiro isn't back yet, we haven't signed Pogba yet... and we're forced to play a double pivot of Kroos and Modric because we don't have the numbers to play a 3 man mid right now.

Oh and Hazard looks like a beached whale. Disappointed he showed up fat to his first Madrid preseason.

I'll add that Carvajal, Nacho and Odri have looked SHOCKING on defense. Militao will do a world of good to go with Varane, Ramos and Mendy. Marcelo looks decent too.

Once we sign Pogba and Casemiro is ready, we can bench Modric or Kroos. Then the numbers are fine in midfield.

Our transfers aren't done and players aren't back... we're not even ready to play games at this point because our squad is in flux.
