goodness gracious, here we go again, "importance percentages", this is too much.....what are we going to start calculating next? "successful dribbles" in the last ten minutes of the game, "passes to shots that hit the crossbar", "dribbles completed in high temperatures"?

I like the 'involved' statistic. Tell me more about this one (as it seems to be the only way Messi stands out in production from the rest). Why does making a run off the ball to draw a defender away, but not actually touching the ball, not count as involved? What about the threat of a bite from Suarez on the defence keeping them from closing down space?

Every player on the pitch is involved all the time really.

So clearly Messi was not as good this Copa as Suarez was last time around. 4 goals, 2 assists and champions >>> 1 goal, 3 assists as runners up. Especially since Argentina had a much better team too.

Involved in attacking move directly by passing or dribbling. As an example Messi was more important in Di Maria's goals collectively, but Di Maria registered 2 goals, and Messi didn't register even an assist.

It's not really a fight, but thread for recording database of performance's in football history. It should also educate people of the team game that is football too.

There is more to a goal than the direct pass leading up to the goal, or a dribble. Players on both sides are totally involved.
