He may have choked in front of goal Docs but he was very involved in general play and created several chances so I'd exempt him from here.

How did he choke?  He was at a bad angle with that shot.  He was involved all game with set up play.

The header he missed at 0-0 was a better chance that then 1v1 to be honest. He led the line tonight and did well in that respect.

How he choked? Well, he missed a 1v1. That usually counts as a choke. But despite that, which I wrote, he played well but it won't be Higuain to not do something to warrant a choke remark. Bless him.

Choke is when you're through on goal clean and miss twice. Had a shot saved, didn't score a header he should've but missing headers from there is hardly 'choking' he's just not a prime Mandzukic in the air.

Yeah that was his main contribution today, just having him around dragging players into him instead of a Matri (Who is a GOAT but still) and players of that ilk frees up Dybala to do naughty things to the opposition.

To be fair, Juve's entire attack didn't get a whiff of goal in the second half and Mario had to create a miracle for the goal in the first half. If Juve had a midfield the game might have been different

Higuain just sucks in finals. that's the story of his career. It's as if he has a mental block that makes him become irrelevant.

I mean, his reputation is undeniable but Higuain did not do any worse than Dybala, Pjanic or Chiellini who, by the way, I find the latter was the worst of the lot.

Those guys have only been through this kind of failure once though Doc.  With Higuain, it's been quite a few now.  

I don't like to rate players on single matches because that's unfair.  I think that this was a collective failure by Juve obviously.  But Higgy is supposed to be the leader of the attack at Juve... its most expensive player by far.  When you ask to be "the man", you better deliver more often than not.

I'll also add that it was pretty disgraceful how bad a shape he came into the season. If I'm a juve fan, I'm watching to see if he repeats that. If he does, I'm all over him. That's just not right for a pro player, let alone someone who just got bought for 90 million.

Not saying he's had a bad season... it was good one after a slow start. I just think he's nowhere near the class of player that some make him out to be. He's a very good player but not a outcome-deciding one, if that makes sense.
