Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
just finished it :banderas:
best premise and setting for a game I've seen probably since Assassins Creed (the execution is far better here though)
Guerrila now up there among the absolute best studious like Naughty Dog, Fromsoftware and CD Projekt Red for me
haven't been this excited for a new franchise since Mass Effect, hope they give us the sequel in 3-4 years minimum though, maybe a PS5 launch title
I like how the side content and collectibles never gave me fatigue, everything felt just right about this game in general, nothing left me hungry for more or, like I said, fatigued, which often is a major issue in open world games..nothing felt just thrown on in this game, it was all meticulously crafted.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I have to agree, shocked how great of a character Aloy is btw. Phenomenal performance from Ashly Burch ( i looked her name up lol) and she's fantastically well written as well.
Also said it many times but i'm shocked how good i found the story to be, obviously hiring all those RPG devs paid off.

- Spoiler:
- I especially enjoyed how angry she got when everyone wanted to anoint her like some god
- Spoiler:
- What did you think of Sylens btw? fantastic character as well IMO. Seems like the ending is setting him up as the bad guy for the sequel as well

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
- Spoiler:
- I really liked Sylens as a character, has a lot of potential as a future antagonist too if they are heading that direction. They can actually go numerous ways with him, gave his character quite a lot of complexity. I think he will basically end up being our Ted Faro though. Voice actor was really good also, he has a really distinct voice, been in a fair few games and tv shows.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I might be able to get the last trophy after all without doing another playthrough.
End game spoiler
Not sure if that's possible though, i was going to play it again anyway but i might leave that for a dead period later in the year if possible.
End game spoiler
- Spoiler:
- Game takes you back before the final fight after you complete it, so i could just find the people i'm missing and do it again

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
it is possible apparently..I mentioned it last night, that's what all the guides say. Got it earlier.
Nil isn't affected by the trophy apparently. He's my favorite side character in the game tbh.
Voice acting was strong across the game

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Do I still have to kill the machines even if they are friendly?
Supposed to kill 2 sawtooths but I tamed one and killed another and yet it is still asking me to kill both

I think I know what quest that is but I'm going to ask what quest that is anyway?
By the wording I'm going to assume you have to kill them.

I'm kind of surprised Shellwalkers are the ones to give you issues, mind you I don't know what others you have seen yet

I won't be making the same mistake when I play it again.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
The hunter bow does *bleep* all even on Normal, I basically never used it again after I got the Sharpshot Bow and War bow. (except when I wanted to use Fire arrows)

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I didn't bother using the Sharpshot of War bows until near the end of the game when I used them for trials and had a lot of shards smh..not that it mattered much on easy but they make fights a lot faster
think Rockbreakers remained a tedious fight regardless, probably the most annoying machine IMO
Then Stormbirds and Thunderjaws
I hated Stalkers and Ravagers too
Behemoth's weren't worth much IMO

I used it for the final mission and didn't even bother dodging at all, not sure if it's because I was on easy but I was literally invincible
