Got the game. Genuinely annoyed that squads haven't been updated for release.

Need some clarification for this: if I go an edit all the team names/logos/kits/etc will the update erase all that, or will it just alter player data?

Not sure on that Jay, i've been stuck with old squads for the past 3 days, i just did the Milan transfers.

Patch in new squads at least with fifa you know the new squads are there from the beginning

I've got all the files and whatnot. I just don't want to get to work doing all the editing and then have the update screw everything up.

Supposedly they were waiting for the game to be released everywhere before updating the squads. Can't imagine why they'd do that.

I'm not even gonna attempt to defend them on this updated transfers fiasco.

It's an absolute joke but it is Konami so i dunno why i'm not surprised. At least the kits are available and ready to go although that has nothing to do with them.

I'll just update the transfers my self, shouldn't take too long tbh. As i really cba waiting till this week as i want to get cracking on my Master League career as soon as possible.

Also Jay the update shouldn't effect the kits and that, it's separate from each other. At least that how it's been for the last few years.

Step 1

Download the images you need. I would recommend this pack (It contains all Premier League, Bundesliga, MLS and National kits/logos) *Full credit at the bottom for kit/logo creators*

Step 2

Take a USB stick and create a folder in the root directory called “WEPES”.

Step 3

Inside that folder simply place any and all images you would like to import into the game. These do not need to be categorised by kit, club logo, tournament logo etc. Everything in the one folder will do.

Step 4

Plug the USB stick into the PS4, boot up PES 2016 and enter the edit mode.

Step 5

Go to Data Management > Import Images and select what type of images you want to import. In this tutorial we will select kits. Either select which individual images you want to copy to the PS4 HDD or simply select all.

Step 6

Once these have copied over return to the main edit menu and select Teams, followed by the team you’d like to import a kit for.

Step 7

Once in the edit menu of your team of choice select Strip > Home, Away or GK strip > Paste Image. Here you will see a list of all the images you have on the PS4 HDD. Simply select the kit you wish to assign and it will apply. No need to add top, shorts and socks separately, it does the whole thing in one go.

Its really embarrassing that they did not update the squads yet. You would expect Konami to do much better considering that they should attract more people this year. Konami always delaying things when it comes to PES.

The annoying thing is that unlike with the PS3, the patches do not install instantly and you would have to create teams by yourself. This means that I would have to be spending time creating bundesliga teams and also creating players (e.g. Aubameyang) that are not in the game. Of course this is not Konami's fault since sony does not allow the exchange of files between different users but I have seen people suggest the implementation of a creation centre-like system that would allow for a work around.

I've heard some real gems from the new commentators today. For example:

Drury: So Jim, who do you think is the main threat from this Portugal team?
Belgin: Joao Moutinho. (silence). He's like a ferret.

Game got a review of 9.5 by IGN. Did not expect that, the gameplay is great but PES lacks in terms of modes and presentation. I am guessing that it is rated that way because its a breath of fresh air for the reviewer. The reviewer mentions the change in menus but they are the same as those introduced in PES 2015, aside from my club and ML. Members of PES forums and I may look at the short comings of the game because of our loyalty and history with the game.

I haven't played it obviously but tbf most reviewers seem to be very impressed with ML this year and MyClub has gotten better again.

Also in a review you will spend most of your time playing the game lol, if he's had that much fun playing the game i can see why it would score highly.

Not like IGN are the only ones anyway, it's currently on a 87 and only Bloodborne, Witcher and MGS has topped that so far.

Although it will probably drop once more reviews come out tbf.

Squad/transfer updates information next week. Disappointing it won't be ready for Friday. Can understand people's frustration
