yeah our defense stepped it up today. on another night, they would have found a way to let atleti score, and it would have been someone like godin. I too would pick the whole defense as motm. up front, we were garbage, lacked ideas. i don't know if we were trying to play it careful, if atleti defended well, if we were not imaginative enough or the combination of all three. that said, once again, we've dealt atleti a blow when it mattered most

Barca would be good but we are lacking Modric now and Carlo will definitely play this midfield again in the CL which failed against Barca but it'd be good to have Ramos up the field were he would get into the box when we cross

Bale is a good footballer, maybe a very good footballer but we really do play better without him or at least the midfield links up way better without him mistrapping or doing his usual poop.

Carlo got his players really prepped for this match and the players clearly followed his instructions to the tee. Our final third action was awful though but as Hala mentioned, who cares?!

i hope for juve too...i hate barcelona too much to want them to be in any final, hell i hate em too much to post on their forum (i think i've only done so once, and it might have been out of spite). i liked how we kept our temperament, in this kind of game ramos would have found a way to get himself red carded. i can't praise our offense based on today, bale or no bale, the offense didn't impress me. but then again, someone on this forum said atleti have the ability to make even brazil of 82 become boring.....true words indeed

Nobody shud blame isco's form. Its inhuman and highly insensitive.
Teammates,bernabeu, opposition fans, and the whole world praised and tot he was excellent. Even Ancelotti did.
But ancelotti benched him in favour of Garbage Bale.
You don't expect him to put in 120% again after he has been made to feel his best his not enough.
Some pple wud selfishly say 'he is a professional' he shud understand
But be aware that they are human beings first, professionals afer.

I have never seen anything such as dis b4 - a player playing so superbly, carrying the team on his back and getting benched after.

Am sori, but we mite never see the best of isco again, except sometin drastic changes and I'd never blame isco.

This....as much as people don't agree with atleti's tactics, i'm in support of that. considering the high level of talent we have on our squad, facing more stubborn teams like that on a consistent basis can only help us improve, and prepare us for teams that do not necessarilly allow us play on the counter, \

Well deserved victory for Madrid, were by far the better team over both legs. Atleti showed zero ambition and were content to kick and foul opponents and ruin the flow of the game.

Fantastic move from Ronaldo and James to set up Chicha for the winner. It is amazing to see how quickly James has settled into this Madrid side. I personally prefer Isco because of his touch and dribbling, but James has clearly been proving himself to be the better choice. Ideally, Bale will sit out for Isco but I think against Juve, Bale should start as his pace and directness will really hurt Juve's backline.
