Re: - Debate - Andrea Pirlo vs Claudio Marchisio -
None, we need to find a proper Pirlo replacement
As for the rest of season and important matches (vs. Borussia) I want to see Marchisio start,he may be not very visible on the pitch as Pirlo with his passes and free-kicks but he does much more defensive work and clearly can take more pressure.
I said it before that it is time for Pirlo to be used as sub,a fresh Pirlo on 60-70 minute will be there to provide key passes and create chances plus his free-kicks,he can definitely change games but he's getting old

The thing is would Pirlo accept a role as bench player. Plus all of that media pressure on Allegri. I don't see it in near future. All we can hope for is nasty injury

Marotta: 'Juve were close to Verratti'
By Football Italia staff
Beppe Marotta reveals Juventus were “very close” to Marco Verratti before PSG pounced, but they “won’t open talks” for Paul Pogba.
The Bianconeri had been on the verge of taking a then-teenage Verratti from Serie B side Pescara in 2012.
“We had contact with him that summer he went to Paris Saint-Germain, but we had just signed Pogba and had other more urgent requirements,” Marotta told Radio Deejay.
“Then PSG’s offer arrived and we were unable to match it, but the negotiations had been at a very advanced stage. We were very close.”
Now Pogba is thought to be worth up to €100m, though Juventus continue to slam the door on all offers.
“His worth is also dictated by potential buyers. He has many of those, but we are the ones who won’t open talks because if we want to raise the bar then that means focusing on players like him.
“There are certainly clubs prepared to pay €70m-€80m for Pogba.”
As for Andrea Pirlo, Marotta notes Juve are trying to keep him in Turin.
“He has given a great deal to Juventus and his contract runs until 2016. When he decides to quit, we will respect that, but we also hope he’ll want to stay with us beyond that date.”
It never ends and Camo even says he can play on til hes 53

Andrea Pirlo is a king of SERIE A,
Nobody can do better than PIRLO on SERIE A
because opponents play too much defensive
so there is not too much danger on counter attack,
and we need PIRLO there to create chances
However, on CHAMPIONS LEAGUE I prefer MARCHISIO because he can add more energy, and keep us safe from the ones like MESSI, RONALDO
On CHampions League, we don't need PIRLO, we need the ones like: MARCHISIO, POGBA, PERYERA, VIDAL
because the game is focused to defend and counter attack ,
you cannot open the wings on big games of CHL, with ASAMOAH, and LINSHTAINER, they have to stand back, and PIRLO is not needed ,
the game should be focused on defending, and counter attacking with the ones like TEVEZ, MORATA, POGBA, VIDAL

Marchisio played the most matches from our midfielders this season btw.

Stylish on and away from the field, Marchisio was initially given the nickname Il Piccolo Lord (The Little Lord) by former Juve defender Federico Balzaretti, before being redubbed Il Principino (Little Prince) by his team-mates.

Re: - Debate - Andrea Pirlo vs Claudio Marchisio -
As it stands, imo behind Tevez Marchisio has been one of our most influential players this season. Way more than any other mid this season. Half the time people aren't even seeing what he's doing when he's closing down channels and the passing lanes etc.
One of the smartest players in the world I think. Not often caught out of position or anything. Would love to read a reliable compilation of his stats such as interceptions and tackles this season. Even if it's not as high as I'm expecting it still makes no difference to me. The amount of times I see him knowingly cover a spot to defend a dangerous passing opportunity which the passing player more often than not chooses against that option then is high enough anyway.
If not for Tevez would easily be my player of the year.
