Destro and Mexes are suspended, whilst the injury list includes Montolivo, De Jong, Abate, De Sciglio and El Shaarawy. Antonelli and Paletta are expected to make their first appearances from the start whilst Tevez is fighting off a mild fever but may yet play whilst Morata is expected to start ahead of Llorente.

In our first clash of the season we were easily controlled by Juventus who overwhelmed us in the second half after an even opening. We desperately missed Montolivo's presence in the middle of the park that day and we are set to miss him again in what does not bode well for a side who are essentially in disarray. Van Ginkel's displays recently have lacked personality and so it is expected that Inzaghi will instead prefer Essien and Muntari in the middle of the park as we return to the 4-3-3 in Destro's absence. We lack the technique to take the game to Juventus given our available personnel and instead must rely heavily upon the counter. Though we're in poor form, our defence usually brings greater levels of concentration to such clashes and we will likely avoid total humiliation however I am pessimistic regarding our chances of holding out Juventus over 90 minutes, especially away.
