Juventus probable lineup
Storari
Barzagli, Bonucci, Caceres
L'steiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Peluso
Vucinic, Giovinco
That back line will be a b*tch to penetrate, since we already faced the same last time. We need our fowards in top form tonight

I heard that Marrone was already confirmed to start. If true, then that means he will play in the defense and Caceres will shift to LWB after Peluso's horror show.

No reason not to give Peluso another run in the cup.

I think Boateng won't play this game. So maybe Nocerrino, or even Flamini might start or we play with Pazzini, El, and Bojan from the start.

Re: JUVENTUS v A.C. MILAN
First half impressions:
1. Boateng looks really good at LCM! Good passing and working pretty hard
2. Acerbi.... don't know what to say. Simply looks awful. Getting exposed time and time again. If he plays against Barca we will concede 6 or 7 goals
3. Montolivo hasn't been as good as before the winter break
4. Emmanuelson and Pazzini pretty anonimous
5. El Shaarawy amazing as usual
6. Solid performances for MDS and Abate.
Amelia... standing and watching as usual.
To Summarize: CB, GK and ST should be the priorities. Midfield doesn't look too bad, but central defence is simply pitiful

Watching Acerbi makes me want to lace up my boots and try out for the center of defense for Milan.

With Acerbi being so bad I'd sub him off put De Sciglio at center back and drop Urby to left back. Acerbi is a total liability right now.

Hahahah seriously.... I swear I was a more competent CB during my high school days, I was at least quicker than a WWI tank and read the game better than a blind man.
At least Zapata shows potential, this guy is terrible. In a way its good maybe we can speed up the deal for Benatia.
Also Mexes looks poor today. One CB now and one in the summer.

Was a pretty entertaining game, KPB played quite good in that lcm role today. Will write a more detailed analysis later. Was impressed with Niang as well! Same with Bojan. Acerbi is a douche.

'Cerbs was terribad, Mexes was somewhat bad too leaving large gaps of space for Isla most of the game. KPB was good today, i say good because he still has a lot to prove and he was a red card threat most of the time. Bojan and SES were influential in attack today, Niang is still very raw but had some good points today. Hard luck for us, we'll get em next time hopefully

Re: JUVENTUS v A.C. MILAN
CBs, and amelia apart i am impressed with everybody. it was a tough game but every mistake mostly came from CBs.. acerbi and mexes and amelia. i mean yes amelia made 1-2 good saves but this guy is a total retard. he doesnt move at all. that giovinco goal, and just poor anticipation on vucinic goal as far as i am concerned.
i am pretty imprssed with niang .. he can score goals more than pazzini and he also defended.
and boateng was impressive as b2b, or LCM whatever we can call it. even though bojan was tightly marked i was so impressed how he could draw defenders out. niang should have scored...
anyway good stuff. juve is a champion, and they have got more depth with qualities but our young players certainly impressed me

Re: JUVENTUS v A.C. MILAN
Boateng was great in the midfield. I was also impressed by traore who managed to play well despite earlier criticism. In the future I would like to see something like this:
The team would be really fast and good. Montolivo played really good as a deep lying midfielder after Ambrosini was subbed off. Finally, Niang, El Shaarawy, and Bojan can form a lethal attack. All 3 forwards can dribble, pass the ball, and are able to take chances.

Niang needs to be our point forward. I have no clue why Allegri plays Bojan as the number 9 instead of on the wing. Bojan needs space, Niang is naturally strong and physically able to be a point forward. Bojan is very good, and should be starting as our right wing.

Re: JUVENTUS v A.C. MILAN
1. I don't want to start on the negative, so I'll say this first - SES was super-impressive. A classy player who will be part of the core of this team for another decade at least.
2. Our CBs are a liability. I've been saying this for ages. And this game has just reinforced my belief that we need 2 of them ASAP. Fortunately for us, we have this superstar kid, De Sciglio, who can play anywhere in defense, and a capable back-up for him at RB in Abate. So when I am disappointed by the signing of only 1 CB this January, at least we can shuffle the players around to get a decent unit together at the back.
3. This is one of these games where Mexes just lost his head. Can we really rely on this guy come Champions League time?
4. Acerbi exists as proof of the fact that investment in a younger player does not automatically mean that he is a potential GOAT waiting to be made. Acerbi, as I've said a few times before, is a mediocre player that we might be able to turn into a good player. What we need is a good young player that has the potential to become a great player. He is the worst of all our CBs.
5. Ok. Now that I've thoroughly roasted our CBs, let's talk about mids. Boateng wasn't impressive, but at least he was better than how he usually plays up forward. To build on his performance, he needs to add a bit more defensive steel to his play and take a bit more responsibility in winning the ball back. Overall, I was pleased with his performance.
6. Monty played well, but was pretty much shackled by Juve's mid. When he dropped deeper later in the game he got the space that he needed. Monty is going to need more help from our other mids to have influence on the game for the full 90 minutes.
7. Monty's lack of space was not the fault of Ambrosini. The veteran played very well, although I have to question how many consecutive games he can put in that kind of performance. A new DM (De Jong replacement) is key this January.
8. I don't think Traore was very useful in the the 2nd half. It's clear that he's not Milan quality, even though he had a decent game today.
9. I level enormous blame at Mr. Urby Emanuelson. Sources say that his picture was even being printed on the side of milk cartons after 20 minutes. Give me Nocerino any day.
10. Pazzini was alright, he needs to work on his finishing though. Niang is a great prospect. Do we even need another forward to replace Pato? Niang showed enough glimpses of quality tonight that I am willing to trust him in Serie A. We already have 5 forwards anyway and should concentrate on defence and midfield this January. Most importantly, KEEP BOJAN. This guy is young, intelligent and creative.
11. Amelia - Good back-up, but not 1st choice quality.

Re: JUVENTUS v A.C. MILAN
I ain't gonna lie, Milan was great today...
Idk where to start...El sharaawy is a great young player and Milan's future; not only him but Bojan and Niang also...
I think if allegri use Madrid's formation, he can get success...
That right there is a beautiful set up with Boateng, Nocerino and Urby as capable backups...
Milan problem is the CB's and GK
Fullbacks De sciglio And Abate are ok and Mexes isn't a bad player but needs a strong partner...
Something like:
For the rest on the season wouldn't be bad...
Summer sign someone like Sahko from PSG for the defense and Balotelli to replace Pazzini...
Last the goalkeeper, MILAN SHOULD GET ROMARIO FROM SAMPDORIA!
Imagine this next season:
Out: Flamini, Traore, Mesbah, *Acerbi & Ameila

Re: JUVENTUS v A.C. MILAN
I think that at the moment we need to stick to 4-3-3 Cotes.
I agree with Milantildeath about Niang being the point striker.
Next season or two, with nobody injured...
SES - Niang - Bojan
Montolivo - De Jong - Boateng
New LB - New CB - New CB - De Sciglio
New GK
Reality, for the rest of this season (assuming no transfers in or out)...

Re: JUVENTUS v A.C. MILAN
This is essentially the same formation and players I posted, except Constant is still there and Saponara is challenging Bojan for his spot.Milantildeath wrote:Next season I'm actually hoping to look a bit like this

I'm not sure of Sap's quality yet - I'd like to see more of him before I comment - but I'd reckon that Bojan will have that spot sewn up by next season.
I'm a fan of Benatia, but Astori is sub-par - he's not a huge improvement over Acerbi.
Sooner or later Constant will be exposed as not being a natural LB and get replaced by someone younger who is better suited to that position.
I think everyone, myself included, is on the Perin bandwagon these days.
If I filled the blank spaces in my formation in, it would look like this:
SES - Niang - Bojan
Montolivo - De Jong - Boateng
Vila? - Benatia - Ogbonna - De Sciglio
Perin
Montolivo - De Jong - Boateng
Vila? - Benatia - Ogbonna - De Sciglio
Perin
Honestly, I'm not sure on the new LB. Maybe Vila (if he's still around) or someone from the youth team.

I thought Niang was amazing. Not sure where to play him,but he should start.Bojan is inconsistent but I really like him,we should do our best to buy this guy.
Acerbi and Mexes I miss Nesta and Silva so much....
