Finished the 2nd season, really strong writing all season long

Things between Jimmy and Chuck have been escalating steadily and the finale duly followed the same path. But I do hope, though, that in the third series they will move on quite swiftly from Chuck. It's been really well written between him and Jimmy, but it's starting to feel a bit too mundane to watch what's basically a family feud. There's not that much at stake there. Younger brother trying to be a lawyer and older brother not approving of it and his methods. They need to get Jimmy involved in some more serious shit than trying to please his brother and girlfriend.

Mike's story line has offered something heavier, but there I didn't quite understand why he stole the cash from Hector? And then feels the need to kill him, too? I thought these things didn't sit well with how Mike's been portrayed so far. It felt to me like they only wrote this story line for him to put some action and danger in the show. Had a glued on feel to it.

Anyway, the writing of the main story has been so good that I am looking forward to season 3 to see where it goes from here.

Try to feel the same way when your grand daughters life (with an already massive guilt trip attached to her) is threatened.

Watched the first 2 eps of the new season, great stuff.

God i love this show, love all the characters. I recommend reading the AV Club analysis reviews after each episode to understand the show's brilliance better.

This last episode, "Chicanery," has to be among the top 3 in the series. All masks are off now, this might be the birth of Saul Goodman.

Yeah the last two episodes have been great. The excitement of the first season is slowly returning.

Chicanery was a masterpiece. This season has been amazing.

Agreed. I really think this season has meandered a bit, but this episode was aces. Enjoyed every minute.

Maybe its because I waited and binged it but I felt this season was the best by far and was overall fantastic. Amazing stuff, easily among the best TV out there now. Finale was haunting.

Yeah didn't think he'd jeopardise his easy cash flow with his old people following to make amends like that after being closer to Saul than he ever has before

But I guess it's a feel good tie off that drives the plot forward I.E he'll end up representing another group when he's back practising law. Probably criminals. Although there might be another step before that.

It's hard for me to like this show when I dislike so many of the main characters. Actually Kim is the only one I like and sympathize with.

Glad Chuck is gone though, he was easily the worst character in the show. Hopefully the next season is more dramatic and action packed because this was just as slow as the 2nd season. I feel like Better Calll Saul is yet to reach the heights of the first season.

Its back! The first episode was a great start. The scene with Gene was enough to tell me it would be a great episode.

I'll watch episode 2 later.

No one watching the new season? 6 episodes out atm, favorite show on right now. Best season for sure, every episode is big payoff for everything that has been happening in the series. The character evolution shown by everyone is stuff only breaking bad can rival.

In this season they've shown post-BB Gene more, pre-BCS Jimmy, BB Saul, and of course Jimmy. All of that stuff has been great. Howard slowly became such a likable character. Mike, Gus, Nacho and the cartel are GOAT.

Also, fans of Gus get some great stuff.

I wanted to watch it when the first episode of the new season came out, but I was busy at the time. Figured I'd wait for a few episodes to release before binging it, instead. Now's probably not a bad time to do so.

I'm caught up. I'ts been great so far. Rhea Seehorn continues to be a ridiculously underrated actress. Kim is such a good character.
