Can't even break down jamaica more than once ffs. Ball moving so slowly, everyone looking disinterested. Is this what Tata wants? I'd like to think not but lots need to change if we want to win CA

Even like this only Chile can stop you, Brazil without Nerman are no threat and Colombia are clearly meh.

I think the problem is that we went into the match already classified for the next round, and we only needed a draw to get first place, so yeah, after the first goal they're just disinterested. Wish Martino had rested more players, some of them look quite tired.

This may have also been Demichellis' last Argentina match, he's retiring after the CA and Otamendi will take that CB spot from now on.

No way. Chile is exactly the type of team Arg thrives against. Last time CHL won against ARG was 5 years ago. I'd 've preferred ARG play CHL in the qtrs over VEN/ECU, both of whom 've proved be a more frustrating opponent in recent years.

I haven't still idea if Valdivia is really great or not.
It's a pity not having seen him in Europe.

I wonder when sampaoli will coach in Europe. He would do wonders with Athletic club.

Hey bombs_away! First off, thank you for the question! Secondly, I believe the best player, so far has been Vidal.

Long back I suppose say early part of last decade.

Neymar is too temperamental and I think success has gone into his head. Since he admires Messi so much he should have tried to learn not only from his talent but also his conduct in terms of dealing with aggression from the opposing team's players and at times referees who let things go. No wonder Xavi warned him just a few days back. It's sad for the tournament to lose one of its best players but maybe Neymar will learn something from this incident.

So what do you guys make of the level of this Copa America? Permissive refs, Uruguay without Suarez, Brazil without Neymar, Argentina falling apart in the 2nd halves, Chile & Colombia actually have a decent shot this time around.

Neymar is young and still kinda stupid. I expected the bubble to burst when he will be facing Zuniga again but he let his teammates down as he can't feature anymore.
Exactly that was my point. You can't really choose the class clown as captain, especially when he gets sent off for stupidity and thus doesn't exactly lead by example - unless you consider it the example as to how to get back to your club as fast as possible. ^^

Strangely sometimes it can work. I'll take an example from another game, cricket. Ricky Ponting was supposed to be the naughtiest boy in class but after he became the captain he proved to be a fine leader and Australia's subsequent success was boundless. Overall I agree with you though that the captain should be someone who can conduct himself well, maintain a cool head and whom the team mates can look up to for help in difficult situations rather than one who is the first to get agitated and other team mates have to calm him down.
