Re: The Blue Box
Speaking of which - I've been wanting it for well over a year now; what do you think of a sort of "Former Blues" thread? Whenever we post news about ex-players, managers or staff, we either put it in their old thread if they had one (if it's not locked), or shove it in the Blue Box. Mightn't it be useful to have one place to put all news and discussion on former staff members?

Re: The Blue Box
The whole world respects Chelsea now, says Ron Gourlay:
Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay believes there is now ‘massive respect’ for the club around the world, declaring that even José Mourinho has been taken aback by the support, and says he is proud of what the London club are doing to help communities across the globe

http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/the-whole-world-respects-chelsea-now-says-chief-executive-ron-gourlay-9735105.html
“When I took over, we were under a little bit of pressure about our image. Do they love Chelsea FC? Do they hate Chelsea FC? Now Chelsea FC are massively respected around the world. Internationally, we are a more loved team.”
“When Jose came back to the club, we went to Asia and it was an eye-opener for him. He hadn’t realised how much the fan base had changed. In Indonesia, we had to cancel open training the day before the match because the police couldn’t contain the numbers who had come to the 100,000-seater stadium. On match night, when Jose walked out, there were 85,000 screaming Chelsea fans and Jose realised that Chelsea had changed dramatically.”
“Nationally is very tribal, isn’t it? You’re never going to change a fan in England from a Man United fan to a Chelsea fan. In Asia, you might. Our fan base has grown dramatically worldwide, from 26million to just under 400m, second to Manchester United. If you go to a Chelsea game in Asia, you’ll see a lot of families, a lot between the ages of 19 and 32.”
“We’ve worked extremely hard in communities in Asia where the kids didn’t have anywhere to play. We now have 13 blue pitches in Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, all operated and run by Chelsea coaches and all non-profitable. It’s important we make sport available in these communities. Chelsea providing these communities with something is vitally important. We want to make a positive difference, and we are, to huge numbers of kids on a daily basis.”

Re: The Blue Box
I'm finally giving in and buying the (terrible) home kit next month. Having a hard time choosing between Ivanovic and Hazard
Careful what you recommend guys; the last time I bought a kit with a name, he ended up leaving for Man Utd

Re: The Blue Box
Either would be great. Although Hazard is probably the bigger name and will probably do better throughout the season.
I'd get one of Costa or Fabregas, personally.

He is rated 77 yet plays like a 82+ rated player due to his speed and dribbling.

Nice to know he plays well in some reality. Even if it is a fictional virtual one.

It happens a bit on Fifa, for example, Ibarbo is absolutely trash in real life, yet he was a god on Fifa.

It's not intentional. But players who are Pacy and strong tend to become OP.
