Re: Alan Pardew sack watch thread
Newcastle finished 10th last season, which isn't too bad considering the other 9 teams had superior squads.

Who is he? His name sounds too exotic for Ashley to have heard of him

As you only deal in results I won't bother mentioning the plenty of other reasons why he needs to be sacked.
Pardew has lost 15 more games (66) than Souness and Dalglish combined (51), in the same number of matches managed (166).
Alan Pardew has FAILED to win 104 out of 166 games while in charge of NUFC.

Newcastle finished 10th despite of Pardew than due to him. Also they easily play the worst football in the league and get regularly spanked by Sunderland.

Re: Alan Pardew sack watch thread
Newcastle should try and nib Paco Jemez from Rayo Vallecano imo. It's amazing the level of football he has had them play despite it not showing in the table. Rayo is the fourth biggest club in Spain, probably at the level of Castilla so you can see the amazing work he has done. It didn't show so much in the results last season but his teams usually dominated games but the defence let them down

Read this on a guardian blog
Not sure how anyone could put up this tbh
Time for Pardew to go.
Our record in 2014: P 22; Won 5; Drawn 3; Lost 14.
Our home record in 2014: P: 11; Won 3; Drawn 2; Lost 6.
In 2014 we have failed to score in a higher proportion of our games than anyone in the entire football league. Hartlepool are second in that table.
In 2014 we have failed to score in 14 of the 22 matches, conceded 3 or more goals in 8 of 22 matches, and scored more than once in only 4 of 22 games.
Under Alan Pardew:
Newcastle's premier league opponents have scored first in 58 matches, and in those games Newcastle have come from behind to win only 4 times, drawn 9 times, and lost 45.
We have NEVER won a game when behind at half-time.
We have lost 17 home matches in the last two seasons, the worst record since '58-'59.
We have scored fewer set piece goals than any other PL team in the past 3 seasons.
We have lost by 3 or more goals over twenty times.
Not sure how anyone could put up this tbh

Re: Alan Pardew sack watch thread
Pardew most likely won't get sacked unless they're in a relegation battle or something. As long as they're around mid table, then everything's ok imo.

Re: Alan Pardew sack watch thread
What next, Newcastle have failed to score the first goal in a match against Hartlepool since 1864, so for that reason Pardew should be sacked?

Yup
I grew out of patience a long time ago. Although in some ways it's too late as a lot of better players have left.
Better late than never though.

Re: Alan Pardew sack watch thread
I'm not even kidding.
The guy is unemployed right now after quitting the Mainz job, Mainz insist he's still under contract though so anybody getting him would have to pay them a little.
Guess he wanted a year off since I'm sure Schalke would've taken him.
He studied English so language no problem.
Budgetwise Newcastle is probably 10 times bigger than Mainz, and what he did at Mainz was nothing short of astonishing, and consistently.
He'd definitively get a big club job in Germany next, but maybe Premier League midtable would be a intresting step for him?
So be sure to fire Pardew quicker than Schalke fire Keller

Re: Alan Pardew sack watch thread
One would think Tuchel would not have left Mainz just yet, but now that Hjulmand is on board, I can only see Tuchel biding his time for a year until the right offer. Given his nascence as a manager, Newscastle; a team brimming with talent would be perfect especially given the possible departure of Pardiexte would provide him a solid platform given the predecessor's failures.
Would be a dream signing if I were an NUFC fan.

Re: Alan Pardew sack watch thread
I know I said just the other gameweek that keeping him in the job for the summer would indicate he won't be sacked that soon, but this is getting both embarrassing and worrying for Newcastle. If Pulis is willing to join Newcastle...

Hull's Steve Bruce early favourite apparently. Difficult to see that with Hull signing so many of his players.

To hell with just Pardew sack them all.
I would say a team is at is most dangerous when it has the ball.
How are you meant to score when you dont have the ball.
