Jovetic is legit, but everybody who watches Serie A could've told you that if you play your cards right the little bastard might just be fit enough to play 7 games a season

No one said he's crap lol, it's just Bony has done a lot more in the PL.
Bony could easily score 20+ alongside Aguero, because he doesn't have some fancy name people tend to think he sucks lol.

about Shaqiri , Di Marzio says now that Shaqiri made his decision, he chose Inter and now Inter and Bayern must reach a final agreement. Tomorrow there is a meeting among clubs and it mght be decisive, Inter is optimist

I know you guys are trolling but:
It was just media fabrication probably by his agent to drum up more interest or value in Shaqiri. It never made sense for Liverpool to be after him.

yeah... liverpool are completely stacked at the wing and AM positions especially with Lallana injured now too. Shaqiri made no sense.

Re: 2014/15 Winter Transfer Rumours
It doesn't matter if he is better than say one of Sterling, Coutinho, Markovic, Lallana or Borini (Or Origi, Suso or Ojo for that matter). What matters is that he fills a position where we already have players that we expect to take big steps or play well. What we don't have is players scoring a lot of goals, or a keeper that knows how to prevent the ball from going in the net.
If Liverpool had a ton of money to just throw around for fun yeah, Shaqiri might be a nice luxury, but the reality is that the money we do or don't have left (especially under FFP scrutiny) has to be spent on actual needs. Shaqiri doesn't present a significant enough upgrade on our current starters to warrant the buy and he wouldn't be guaranteed the same kind of playing time here as he should be at Inter.
Also IMO Lallana, Sterling, Coutinho and Sturridge are better than, or on the same level as, Shaqiri currently, but they are not all the same kind of player anyway.

Sure thing champ. Whatever helps you sleep at night. Someone who actually is connected to Liverpool, and knows what they're talking about, says we never had interest in him this window.
Shaqiri is clearly better than Sterling, Coutinho and Sturridge.

i'd say Shaqiri is probably better or on the same level as Coutinho (former inter player funny enough) but not Sterling and Sturridge

Re: 2014/15 Winter Transfer Rumours
Bayern destroyed Shaqiri but it was his fault thinking he could go there and displace Ribery and Muller/Robben in the first place. He wasn't a superstar at one of the big leagues instead he was a talented players in a lesser league. Whenever I watch him play I get the feeling he doesn't like to share the ball with his team mates. Meh talented player riding the bench at a big club happens everywhere. He just needs to get out of there to realise his potential again
Whenever I see a Liverpool fan say player x at liverpool>>>>>> player y it reminds me of them saying lallana>>>> di maria just steer clear of comparing your poverty players with legit players.

Re: 2014/15 Winter Transfer Rumours
Who said that Lallana > Di Maria? Lol...give it a rest.
Shaqiri has talent and tools, but he has mad tunnel vision and lacks the work ethic that Rodgers has instilled in guys like Coutinho, Sterling and Sturridge and that Lallana and Markovic already have. Again, he would be coming into a crowded position at Liverpool without guaranteed playing time, and isn't really better than our first choice players at those positions right now anyway.
Like I said I'd take him because I think he has a lot of potential and tools but he's surplus to requirement right now and Liverpool need to focus on other areas before buying yet another attacking midfielder.
Scored and assisted more than Shaq ever has in a single season while being 3 and a half years younger, and being the best player for Liverpool in their unbeaten run in the race against City for the title. Then going on and continuing to be Liverpool's best player this season as well as winning European Golden Boy. That's just in the last year, too.

sterling is a good player no doubt, but come on he not that good yet, its easier to standout around mediocrity, sturridge> forgot about him but he is cf anyway, and coutinho? no

Re: 2014/15 Winter Transfer Rumours
I'd rather that we had Shaqiri than Lallana, i.e. managed to sign the former instead of the latter in the summer, but in the current situation we don't really need another AM.

Because they haven't placed a bid, doesn't mean they don't have interest or won't in the future.

Re: 2014/15 Winter Transfer Rumours
Who is saying he's a bad player? You're making it sound like he's being compared to scrubs. We're just saying that he would be another good addition to a position we already have covered. We need a striker and a keeper. It's not rocket science.

Re: 2014/15 Winter Transfer Rumours
Shaqiri has taken his team to the WC elimination rounds while being the main guy on the attack. While at Basel, he helped eliminate SAF's Man U in 2011 by being the best player in the pitch as he assisted all the goals against Man U. Becomes the Swiss footballer of the year at the age of 20... and Bayern pay 12 mil to sign him. At Bayern, he's blocked by Ribery and Robben. But Swiss NT have always performed with him as the main guy.
Now, tell me what has Sterling accomplished as the main attacking player again? Anything of note or is it all hype so far? Good player but Shaqiri is actually a better player than Sterling imo... he's a powerful version of Coutinho if you want to compare him to someone on Liverpool.

Re: 2014/15 Winter Transfer Rumours
Simply an observation here. Under the few games Mancini has managed Inter are starting to look like somewhat of a team again. They are not in that much of a crisis as some people like to think, they have good young players like icardi and kovacic and some great senior players handanovic, hernanes, guarin and podolski. Add Shaqiri to the list and they actually look like a champions league 3rd spot team.
The problem for Inter will be holding onto their star players. And if they do sell their young guns can they actually replace them properly? Inter in 2010 suffered because they brought in the wrong players and they just seemed to wing it they had no real project.

Obviously Shaqiri is a very good player, but so are Sterling and Coutinho and we just paid £25m for Lallana. It wouldn't make sense to buy Shaqiri to compete with them, too.
