Going ultra defensive is actually making the defence worse

we're getting dominated by every team we face win lose or draw

can't take it anymore our play has become so boring and we're all playing shit because of it

Just hoofs or trying to controll hoofs and 1 dimensional runs i've never been so bored on a game in my life

Me neither. I don't know why we went away from 442 which is the only good formation in fifa 15. The same formation that I used to win seasons & that got us to div 2.

We should stick with tom at cdm/cm me cam, MT ST and RG either ST or CM

Forget that *bleep* cpu striker lol

I'll go back to CDM cba getting used to attacking again and we played so much better with me running about after their pro's

I am both ST and CM most of the time

I don't think people were focused tonight. No one seemed at their best because the amount of times we lost the ball was astounding due to dribbling n shit.

Tom is right about the one dimensional play. But if we are to change the play then everyone has to do it together. Not one guy standing alone deep trying to link up play while 3 are somewhere at the top. We have played some great stuff over the months but we are never consistent. If we go down a goal, we all turn into long ball->ST route.

First change is to severely decrease the amount of runs in behind we do

cause there are many times where opposition block it easily and like 1/15 long balls come off, meaning that's 14 cheap possession turnovers where they have it back. Plus when like 3 people are running in behind that's 1 3rd of the team nowhere to be found when it gets headed back down the pitch

Everybody running in behind means the guy on the ball almost has to try the ott ball, cause he's being closed down by a pack and his options infront of him are 50 yards away running in all sorts of bad directions

Mic up next time Tom. So much better tactically to use one ffs. Nearly 2015 and we're playing almost every online game without one

need dat dere communication esp at set pieces which we're flat out not doing anything with and haven't for a month

When people are constantly picking out my runs and looking for me in attack, it results in 2-3 goals a game. But when there's 2-3 people in attack, making runs etc, I'm not as effective and it leads to losing the ball.

You do realise the teams we're playing in division 2 wouldn't BE in division 2 if they couldn't deal with constant through ball spam to a simple run

It does work, as we seen. But for every time it comes off there's like 20099 other times where they head the ball away and counter attack

It's all about picking moments, moving the ball quickly and doing stuff in moderation

Do SOME crosses, not every time we get the ball

Take SOME long shots

Cut in SOME times

Do the OCCASIONAL 1-2

When their is space, do a through ball/OTT through ball. Not EVERY SINGLE TIME we're in their half.

Also once again can't stress enough the importance of passing to peoples feet even when they're running

5 of us with riot shields and anti aircraft rpgs on following mt about because das why we spend 40 quid on a game

Yeh, not saying to always go for a lob pass. But I've scored like 300 goals in 2 months ffs. Just feed...me...more.

5 people with riot shields surrounding a guy who's crouched, as soon as an enemy shoots, the one guy stands up and takes him out. Sounds like a decent idea.

Went to bed early. I have to pick my girlfriend up from the airport, an hour from now (5.30am)

I like how we played around midnight, 2 days ago. We built up our attacks gradually, instead of sending one pass through the midfield and then hoofing it to the striker/mt attempting to Messi his way through I mean, playing like that can be effective when it actually works, but gradual build-up is more reliable, and in my opinion, more fun since everyone gets more possession of the ball.

With the diamond formation there's no width and the fullbacks won't attack either on ultra defensive. Maybe whoever is playing RCM/LCM can occasionally attack the wide areas.
