He needs more freedom than playing the deep-lying role, his game isn't all about distribution, it's also about movement off the ball. If Klopp's plans are to use Henderson the way he's gone into the season I expect him to be benched sooner or later.

Lol he sucks in that DM role. He has absolutely zero ability on the ball. No tactical understanding on how to defend that position. And his passing is very hot and cold. He hits them in the general direction of his teammates, never perfectly in the correct position to receive the ball.

He's a good runner and off the ball player. Well now we have Wijnaldum who is exactly the same way except better. Hendo needs to play that role and then be sold next summer because his time is up. 6 years is more than enough for an average player like him at Liverpool.

Must admit you made me laugh. Fine humour there.

He's gone downhill since the injury and is now being misused. Outside of the b2b role he just doesn't fit as well. His biggest attributes are his engine, his off the ball movement and his late runs into the box. Now he's being asked to move less, be on the ball more, and be more disciplined. None of those things play to his strengths as a player.
