That moment when you realise the other club has the bigger fanbase

Maybe they were all wearing madrids 3rd kit last night, all those kits with James on the back
Biggest club in the world!!

Hardly surprising from Spanish media in general. They have been known to edit still images removing players to make the argument that a certain goal was or was not offside.

Real Madrid have pink kits this season, so they could have just claimed they were Real Madrid fans without the editing imo.

Dunno why it's such a big deal anyway...
MARCA pretty much acknowledges it's pro-Madrid. Common knowledge they write every article with an agenda

Even though it would be just as silly to claim they're wearing the 3rd kit, ( who the hell buys that many 3rd kits?) it's the sheer cheek and out right lying of it all.
Surely they never thought this North Korea lite propaganda trick would work?

It's pretty clear though that Marca are pro Madrid. It's not like they're an unbiased general paper or anything.

Yes but what's the point?
It's the smallest of details. Utd were the most received club on this years tour. Understandable due to the epls popularity.
This could be for a different thread but Madrid are unlikely to catch us up out there.
The American sports culture have salary caps etc. they have different teams on top every few years. There's no couple of teams always fighting it out for decades, so they are more understandable to teams durkin rebuilding phases etc.
So success is shared, you may see teams like the heat become more exposed, but you don't see a lot of proper fans jump ship.
Americans are loyal to their teams. As seen with Madrid being over shadowed on this tour despite being the best team in Europe v the 7 the best in England.
Football is as popular as it'll be in America IMO. There won't be any major inroads in fan base from here on in.
