Captain after Stevie thread

I think it's safe to say by the time Stevie retires, Agger, Lucas, Skrtel, Johnson and Reina probably won't be at Liverpool or first team regulars.

One of our vice captains Suarez is gone. Agger might follow him. Lucas might follow him as well.

It leaves us with a very interesting scenario, that dreaded question of who will replace Stevie as captain when he finally hangs his boots. I want to know everyone's opinions, in about 3-4 years we'll bump this thread and see how right or wrong we were   

We can also discuss the vice captaincy in this thread if Agger were to leave this summer.

My personal choice is none other than Hendo. I personally don't think we can look any further than him. If Rossiter lives up to his potential I see him replacing Hendo when he finally leaves or retires.

But we do have some captain material in the squad so guess away

I think it's too early to speculate, but the winner of this poll should be Jordan Henderson in a landslide.

I think Gerrard will start majority of the games this season. But I also think he will start only half the games next (15/16) season. So we will need a new leader on the field and in the locker-room by the start of next season.

As things stands right now, Henderson is the choice. However, I think Shako is a close one too. It will be this season which will decide who will emerge as the leader for season 2015-16.

I think by the time when Gerrard retires, Hendo would have grown into a fantastic player and he is a leader. So he should get it OR who knows of Sakhomay get a chance but before that he has to improve his English
