He must see now how much we pay our players and compete, if only he hadn't been so greedy. I think we would've won the PL had he stayed having just signed Cazorla, Giroud and Podolski. Even in his decline he would be worshipped by Arsenal fans, now the majority of Man Utd fans can't stand him, let alone anyone else.

Oh well, if money and that PL medal was all he wanted then he got it but I believe he would've had those two had he stayed with Arsenal on top of a legacy he would've left behind. It's a decision both Arsenal and him must regret.

Just occurred to me that winning our next 3 means we could finish 11 above United. Things change so fast in this league.

Yes, definitely. RvP could have been a legend (maybe just a minor one), but now he'll go down as just a very talented player who had not even three great full seasons. "Unfulfilled potential" on more than one front.

Rising players who get big heads and leave Arsenal to "upgrade" very frequently learn the grass isn't greener.

tbh if I got the chance to one day get a PL medal while playing an important role in that season and pay more than 200k a week, I would be feeling so damn happy.

Yeah I'm sure RvP felt great that first year. And look, I know football is about glory and trophies, and that these guys have to try to make their nut in a short period of a time so even 25k/wk extra makes a big difference.

But after SAF retired, and RvP started to get reacquainted with the physio room, and then also the bench, and fell out of the CL, and finished below Arsenal in the table, and he's now getting penalties blocked at home by West Brom in this season's crunch time ... well, I am pretty sure he's started to entertain a few thoughts about what might have been had he just sat tight at Arsenal a little longer.

In other news, Spurs losing to City tomorrow and us not losing to Hull means Monday will be St. Totteringham's day yet again. Proud

United's defeat means we can go five points clear of them on Monday, which would be a big step towards securing a top three finish, in as much that we could potentially go to Old Trafford and lose and still finish above them.

I hate to say this, but if Spuds manage a win against Citeh, we could be a lot more comfortable wrt 2nd spot. I'd take that and celebrate the inevitable St. Totteringham's next week hmm

Schneiderlin to United basically done.

Annoyed at the fact that we didn't get him, but even more annoyed at how United are conducting their business this summer. Plugging in their midfield and RB holes with decent pieces all before their preseason is set to kick off...

For once, it is a sensible interview where he doesn't act like the usual hypocritical me-against-the-world sympathy-seeking c**t.

It's also disgustingly pathetic, how the media twisted rather straight-forward comments on spending into a 'jab at Arsene Wenger'. smh.

He's as much of a Chelsea fan as you are.

As for Hazard, he's only just turned it on against Barca, but it's at the right time.
