Reading lost 1-0 at home to Championship leaders Bournemouth last night. They are in lower mid-table, relatively safe from relegation, but have won just 1 of their last 10 League games. They fielded pretty much their strongest XI last night, too.

SO Chelsea vs Man Utd this weekend. What do you guys want out of that game? hmm

After last weekend I felt that nah, this title fantasy thing is just a bit too far out of our reach anyways. It was like that even before the QPR - Chelsea game I thought. So I wanted a draw for this game or if a draw doesn't give, then if someone wins then I would like it to be a Chelsea win, because I want some distance between 2nd and 3rd.

But now I've had a change of heart. Okay if United win they go second for the time being and might stay there until the game at OT because we play our game in hand in the week only after that match. But just think if United happens to beat Chelsea tomorrow and we beat them the following weekend, it's title race on! Chelsea will be feeling the heat. Sure they will still have to stumble twice for us, or United, to overtake them. But at least we would have a title challenge on our hands worth looking at. I would rather sacrifice a 2nd place to be in a title challenge between 3 teams till the last day of the season, because you never know.

Your thoughts?

Maximum we can hope for is a draw. Especially after something like this.

Draw will be great for us. If Chelsea hadn't won agaisnt QPR then I would have wanted united to win

However title is done and dusted and United are like a point behind us. So it's either a Chelsea win or a draw that benefits us.

I thought we might have had a shot at challenging Chelsea had they dropped points at QPR, but that win has killed a lot of my hope. They're not playing well but they're getting the points one way or another and I expect them to continue to do so.

A draw would be a good result, I think. Keeps that fleeting hope alive while United don't go above us during a weekend that we don't play.

So Liverpool remove and then re-allow votes for Balotelli (then spell his name wrong)

Feel like they won't announce him as PotY even if he has the most votes. Maybe they just reset the votes he had when they removed him.

Watching the Man Utd - West Brom match.

RvP looks a shell of his former self. When you think about it, he had about two and a half years as a truly great, injury-free, elite forward. Arsenal had him for 3/5 of that peak time, then sold him for £24 million. He helped Man U win the league, yes, but injuries have re-emerged, his form is crap, and now you've got to concede he barely looks like a footballer these days. And what's he earning a week? Like £250k?

Time, and perspective, truly do heal all wounds.

Guess we sold him at the right time. He probably regrets it lol. Won a title, but he will be forgotten in 3 years. Could have become a lot more at Arsenal.

Ah well.

With United's defeat. Top 3 is more or less secured. Just need like 8 points from 5 games. With a win on Monday, top 4 will be completely secured.

Good times for us

add to thr fact that the so called inferior striker who replaced him is doing a better job for the team and we bought him for half the price.

Still, i the departure of RVJ pains me the most because I truly thought he would have retired a legend. He could have had a role in the current Arsenal team as Bergkamp did during the twilight of his career.

Yea... his legacy will be like that of many other great players to play in the league. Had he stayed with us, i think he would have been immortalized imo. I think he knows this too.

He must see now how much we pay our players and compete, if only he hadn't been so greedy. I think we would've won the PL had he stayed having just signed Cazorla, Giroud and Podolski. Even in his decline he would be worshipped by Arsenal fans, now the majority of Man Utd fans can't stand him, let alone anyone else.

Oh well, if money and that PL medal was all he wanted then he got it but I believe he would've had those two had he stayed with Arsenal on top of a legacy he would've left behind. It's a decision both Arsenal and him must regret.
