We are so far off the top because he isn't with us. Chelsea are more than welcome to get the mythical link up master if we can get Morata back

the amount of chances that Morata has missed with chelsea even when he was playing is appalling, he is not a good finisher.

the guy played 2 years in Juve, failed to become n1. and now in chelsea, even conte is giving up on him

he will never be Madrid n9, he has nowhere near enough quality for that

Nick, I assume Hala is talking about as a backup, and as Timmy said, assuming we have better starter alternatives!

But first, Morata has to accept the fact that he is best suited as a substitute. That won’t happen overnight, plus the fact he has to accept the fact that is is grossly overpaid and no matter what happens has to accept a reduced salary.

Hala sounds like Morata should be n1 in Madrid. he complained too much when he was on the bench, he has more ambitions.

But his problem is that he has never been the go to striker for a pro club in his career. He needs that, even if it's a smaller club.

It's not like Morata and Benzema are the only options for Real Madrid.

How about signing a striker who can actually score goals? Even Arsenal have two of them, you can have Lacazette, he's twice the player Morata is.

He must be hating it in England. He and his Italian wife probably miss Italy a lot. Would take him back on a loan + option to buy IMO. A couple of braces against Man United and Sevilla in the CL next season and everything will be fine again

Seems to very much dislike London, not at all a bad player though, sometimes its tough to settle in certain scenarios

The difference of a confident player versus one who's out of form is clear.

Watched him quite a bit with juve, he never looked like hed score 20+ in a season however he did bring a lot of ability to the squad

The key here is he was spectacular at everything, and then laid the ball off to cuadrado.
Can sit behind Mandzukic if he likes. and like mandzukic, always shows up when needed.

According to Cadena Cope, he wont make the cut for the world cup. he is losing out to Rodrigo mainly

the rumoured squad will be

GK: De Gea, Kepa, Reina
Defenders: Pique, Ramos , Azpilicueta, Nacho, Odriozola, Alba , Carvajal, Marcos Alonso
Midfielders: Busquets, Iniesta, Isco, Saúl, Thiago, Koke, Lucas V, Silva.
Forwards: Aspas Rodrigo Asensio Costa.

Yeah, totally understandable really. Aspas, Rodrigo and Costa have been better than him particularly Aspas. Asensio, well, he's not a striker but he has put in more good performances than Morata so I could see the reasoning. Also, he plays for Madrid so that's a big deal.

Morata, as much as I like him, has no fight in him. Whenever things don't work out for him like he wants to, he gives up mentally.

yes, really it's a disappointment, i genuinely thought moving to England with a coach that wants him and a team willing to feature him as the main guy at n9 would finally allow him to grow and blossom into the striker he was meant to be but no. He CLEARLY isnt cut out for a top team and he now must find his level.

He was beat out by Rodrigo and Aspas a couple of months ago. Lopetequi said last time seleccion was together that Morata could make it back if he performed at Chelsea. He didn’t, end of story. Meanwhile both Aspas and Rodrigo have had a good year and deserve the selection.

Morata still had a chance. It was a decision of possibly going with 7 defenders given the flexibility both Nacho and Azpili offer and taking on a 4th striker.

I actually think this choice of Azpili and Marcos Alonso is best rather than Bartra or Morata. (And keep in mind I was a supporter of Morata especially his seleccion performances until this season)
