I think we've seen in the past, both at RM and at Juve, that he can be clinical when his mind is in the right place. I've no clue why he's consistently wasting chances these days. Then again, I suppose Luca's explanation still stands.

Yeah thats what i was thinking, it looks more like as if he doesn't try or doesnt care rather than he's lacking actual quality to finish his chances

A goal scorer needs his confidence and it sure looks like that’s the case here. Definitely not because he doesn’t care or try, lol. Look at what happened to Torres and Benzema. Absolutely same situation.

Bottom line is he left Madrid thinking he should be a starter. He had his chance, actually started off well and then puff, the confidence went and so did the goals.

He got him self in this dilemma and now he has priced himself out of any possible moves. He’s been given every possible opportunity at Chelsea with yet another coach and yey he still can’t deliver.

Morata will only play good for us because of how much he loves the club. He used to run through walls for us even when playing 5 minutes. I just don't see similar urge at Chelsea. If we can have him back for half what we sold him for I'll pay for it myself. His problem is his mentality. He was abit of a crybaby for us but a brilliant professional when putting on the white shirt. I'd rather have 10s of Moratas/Lucas' than 10s of Benzemas and Bales. Chelsea can take Benzema off our hands if we can get Morata back. We need a big game player now that Ronaldo has gone

It's not that he doesn't work hard for Chelsea, he's just not very good. The man made a career out of scoring the 5th goal against the Levante and Gijon's of La Liga. OUT.

He did well at Juventus before playing for us though, he had some lovely performances in CL. But his composure and ability to finish at a high level are just awful

Not to mention that Lopotegui didn't trust him for NT... and you want him to do a 180.

That's like saying a player did well because they performed at the WC and ignored everything else.

Even in his best year at Juventus he was average 80% of the time at best.

There's a reason one season as Benzema's back up aside he's been meh at best.

I'm not disagreeing but when you have a 21 CF with his pedigree torching Bayern in champions league then you have to assume the raw material to reach the top level is there
