The only thing I agree with on the owners side is what Mark Cuban said about fully guaranteed contracts.

But even then I still at the same time know and agree on the other side of it.

The owners won't get away with it this time anyways IMO, the likes of Lebron, Kobe and of course CP3 won't have it.

Especially with what we know about the TV deal.

That with guaranteed contracts the owners take the risk, the players can be paid millions and never actually play.

I agree with that in isolation but at the same time also see it from the players side. That's the only thing I even come close to agreeing with.

The rest is bullshit, things like the players and owners having a 50/50 split on strictly basketball income is utterly ridiculous for starters.

The owners should get less of it than the players if anything, but equal split is utter nonsense. Can't see any of this flying during the next round of talks now we know what we know.

Sure they take the risk there, but thats the nature of owning a basketball team. Nobody is forcing them into owning a team.

If you're a fan of the NFL Russell Wilson wrote a interesting article relating to the domestic violence stuff lately in the NFL. Apparently he was a bully in middle school and beat kids up lol.

-Jimmy Butler balling so far in preseason. Its unfortunate for him that the Bulls retooled with so many more offensive options (Pau, Mirotic, McBuckets, Rose back) and he wont get many chances to show it but his game has really grown.

He drives really hard to the basket and is real hard to stop. Just jumper looking pretty good too.


-Looking at Kobe, I think its clear he going to be a post player from here on out. Said he should of done that about 3 years ago but now his speed is gone its happening. Cant stop that turn around jumper.

His explosion doesnt exist though, I can see that though, he isnt going to be getting to the rim or finishing in traffic.

-The Pacers have literally nothing going for them from what I see. Their wings are awful. Bird should probably blow it up tbh.

Tbf I think a lot of what Butler's shown will still be there regardless of the offensive options.

He's still gonna be constantly slashing to the basket, he's still (at least at first) going to have open mid range shots, he's still going to be a threat in transition.

I actually think his offensive game compliments those around him very well.

SLAM mag top 50 going into the season, still hasn't been finished but it's obvious the top 3 will be CP3, KD and Bron.. In that order, unless they decide to commit blasphemy

Couldn't care less about these lists, they are all garbage. It's really not plausible to rank 50 best players (specially from 5 different positions). What does 'best' entail? Are you looking are some sort of stats? A combinations of stats? What about intangibles? etc. It gets harder and harder as you move away from the top 5, top 10.

But having said, Tony Parker is way way way too low. Davis is not 4th best player in the league. Not yet.

I'll take Wade. At least he doesn't get raped on defense every other trip down the floor. And he actually has game in between 3ft and 23ft.

I think Tony Parker is top 5 player in the league, definitely above Davis for me.

Okay that's fair because TPs stats don't tell his story.

They base these lists on stats obviously, most won't rank him high since he's not gettin 25/10 a night. But he can and will when it matters.

Tbf most of the time these lists are just a prediction of what the season will bring.

Quite frankly considering Davis continued improvement I wouldn't be surprised if he's universally accepted as top 5 come April.
