Only bandwagoners can ask from a player who had such a long spell of not playing and moving to a completely new league to do magic. It can happen, but most likely he will need time. Just take a look at Nerman.

It's full of 12 year old kids, you could just as well read Youtube comments. It's good for the luls though.

Barcaforum is run by 12 year old Neymar fanboys, only he is immune of such things in there, and possibly the spanish relics.

I will never forget this quote

Metaphysical wrote:Rio's the only defender who gets near Nesta in terms of sheer ability. Cannavaro's probably #3 in terms of talent, but as Nolan says, he played an awful lot of games alongside The ManGod Thuram, so it's hard to judge how great he really is in comparison to Rio and Nesta who have had to take the field alongside some *bleep* atrocious defenders in their time.

if Piquenbauer can sort his concentration issues (which you'd figure he will as he gets older) out he'll shit on all of them, though.

What do u guys really expect? To come to barca and get some messiesque numbers? Any player will always struggle in barcas system wether he used to be wc or not.
Suabite has been subpar tbh, but how do u really expect him to go into liverpool mode in a team that isnt built around him? Most if not all wc strikers will struggle in our current set up, but take them out to teams that can build around them and watch them switch on god mode. Do u think nerman, gareth fail and suabite wouldn't give messi and cr7 a hard run for their money if they were playing in teams built for them?
So yes, whilst being unimpressive, suarezs talent and credentials are undeniable.. The goals will come.

you dont built team around some player. It comes naturally. You want your best player to touch the ball more. So you pass the ball to him all the time. Its very natural

Madrid wants CR to touch the ball in the box only. Outside of it the team are not built around him. In barca its built around messi everywhere. And rightfully so.he just does better than anyone in every place

What a player
Cant believe people were actually questioning him and his play for us so far.
And all on the basis of goals
Dont give a rats damn about goals. He has been brilliant for us so far.Worth every single penny and more.
People have been moaning for years about a Plan B or the lack of one.He is the bloody Plan B.Gives an entirely new dimension to our attack.
Why did we play so well yesterday? Why did we beat Atletico Madrid so convincingly?
Yes,Messi played brilliant, yes Neymar played brilliant.Yes,we played with intensity. But the biggest difference without a shadow of a doubt was Suarez.Brings a completely new dimension to our attack and a real plan B.
Suarez is what Ibra was supposed to be.

Just to be clear, when I criticized Suarez for not scoring enough it was in a context of "If we had sold Messi and replaced him with Suarez and then he failed to score for 600 minutes, the press would absolutely kill him and that pressure might affect his performance". I was not saying he was a scrub or that I was unhappy with him.

(Can't find the quotes, must have been in another thread).

I'm quite happy with him but believe he has even more to offer.

Hasn't been quite clinical enough but that will come in time.

he is still inconsistant, but far too early to judge him
so far i am not happy with the amount we spent on him, and he was hardly motm in any games except one or two since his arrival here.

yeah no..
look at all the three goals, theres a reason why everyone runs towards messi thanking him for the pass / effort before the goal.

Clueless hamonica talking from his arse as per usual. What does neymar have to do with this thread? Neymar has had like 12 man of the match performances this season, except for some reason messi chooses to play better on those days, considering that the team is built around him too. (sevilla, celta, granada, elche, bilbao, elche again, atl madrid, psg, ajax, deportivo to name a few).
Moreover, neymar would have twice the season he's currently having if mehssi could score for his life all the passes that were layed on for him by neymar in the 1st 17 games of the season (this including 4 penalties won for him by neymar this season).
While suarez was MoM against almeria, it was neymar who scored the comeback goal that game when he came on cause he could actually finish. messi did nothing that day iirc.
Btw, neymar has ironically being the MoM in the league game he hasnt played (getafe). *coffee* what happened the games neymar didnt start this season? Bilbao? Getafe? Villareal? Almeria? Sociedad? these games have something in common.

As for suarez, he has been below average at best this season truth be told, being that he's now 28, has had so much experience from top leagues in europe and was the PL top scorer last season. His assists numbers are a fraud btw. For now, he's just a fearsome pedro.
The only thing is i know he'll turn things around soon, cause we all know he's world class.

Do you know what MoM is?

Here's what fans voted three games ago in barcaforum, Neymar 0 MoM's, Suarez 1. Funnily enough that's exactly what statistical analysis agrees in whoscored.com.

do you guys honestly think he (suarez) or neymar have preformed higher then messi throughout the season??

lets try to have a civil debate please.

i personally don't and my reason for that is almost every goal we've scored messi was involved in it one way or the other.
messi has contributed more to the defence this season then neymar has, has contributed more passes then iniesta and has scored more then suarez.

what's your reason to believe otherwise?

Messi is held to a higher standard. People say those two have been better sure but i dont think they have at all.
His finishing was horrible in the first quarter of the season but he's pretty much back on track. Besides, his overall play was actually miles ahead of last seasons even when he was missing 2meter tap ins.

True about the standard but it shouldn't change who has been playing better.

Messi did start the season below average to himself, but he wasn't doing anything wrong other then having bad luck.
he hit the post around 8+ times in a month and a half.. which happens, he has also been played practically as a CM the first couple of months i've never seen him fall so close to the half line even in the pep days

Neymar has had a very good season so far but honestly small pieces of brilliance has come from him, his finishing is hot and cold and honestly most of his goals come from team work not individually, i am pleased with his better one touch passes and his dribbles have been great.

Suarez has been nothing to me, his dribbling is more often worse than good and finishing is below average, the most memorable contribution from him was his game winning assist on his second or third game with us..
