Re: Diego Costa
I am fully aware of my overreacting to him.
I also do not care.

Re: Diego Costa
I've been seeing reports that Mou said that Costa has a muscular problem. That's why he didn't start against Schalke. Although I was not expecting him to play at all.
If Mou is saying this, should we be worried? It has been almost 3 weeks already, and every week there are reports about this injury of his, but he's turning out to be great in those matches in Everton and Swansea.
Does this mean that he's playing hurt? Would it be best not to play him for a couple of games and not aggravate his injury?

Re: Diego Costa
Diego Costa 'can't play three games a week', says José Mourinho, as Chelsea boss admits Spaniard needs seven days to recover after matches:
José Mourinho claims Diego Costa cannot play three games a week for Chelsea because of a hamstring injury he picked up on international duty with Spain

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2759979/Diego-Costa-t-play-one-game-week-Chelsea-says-Jose-Mourinho.html
"He went to the national team in perfect conditions and came back injured."
"But what happened to Diego happens to many other players in other national teams. I have nothing to say about it. It's just what happens. He played one match and was perfect, then went to the national team, played against France and came back injured."
"Costa has a problem and he can't play in this moment three matches in a week. If he has one week to let the muscle recover, he can start again like he has been since he had that problem with the national team. ‘But three days, after Saturday, is not enough. It was not to protect him for the game for Sunday, but because today he was not in the condition after Saturday."
"He signed for us and was completely fine. He had a problem again in the national team, not with us."
"And now we have a problem and now we have to resolve it as best we can. Today he was not in condition to play. Sunday we believe he is."
"Next week, against Bolton, for sure he isn't. We have to manage the situation until the moment he's completely fine. I don't know (how long that will be). If today he had started the game, for sure he could not play on Sunday. We have to go step by step."

Drogba on Costa:
— via the Telegraph
-
-"He is very good. I think for him to start the season in England, coming from Spain, which is a very different league, and to recreate the same thing he was doing at Atletico, is fantastic."
"He’s really good and he’s enjoying playing here and being with us. That’s the best feeling he could have. He’s the striker we needed this season."
"Like me, he came to this level a little bit late. It’s really good. When I look at him, I can see the desire to win every challenge, to score goals. He’s hungry for goals and that’s the best thing for a team like us."

Re: Diego Costa
Interesting stat.
Ever since Drogba left we lacked the type of player that found space in tight areas especially if we're playing against lower teams.

Re: Diego Costa
Diego Costa's feisty Spain reputation could turn referees against him, warns José Mourinho:
José Mourinho fears Diego Costa’s 'up-for-a-battle' reputation from his time in Spain can, and already has, unfairly worked against him in the eyes of referees this season
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/diego-costas-feisty-reputation-could-4296309
Can't say I agree with him completely, but there is some truth in this.

"The whole idea of Diego’s feisty approach is a completely fake point. Maybe it’s a point based upon previous seasons, not what happened here."
"Here he got the right advice, the right education, and yet he got two yellow cards."
"One is completely unfair, because it was a penalty. The second one was because he was provoked for the whole game and he had a little reaction."
"He’s being completely fair, giving zero problems to referees and behaving very well and playing his football."
"The referees are there to see the provocation. Diego is trying to play. He’s not afraid of aggressive opponents. He doesn’t let other players intimidate him."
Can't say I agree with him completely, but there is some truth in this.

Chelsea's Diego Costa says he's closing in on full fitness:
Costa says he's on the road to recovery after battling with a hamstring injury in recent weeks, and believes Chelsea's increasingly congested fixture list will help him along it

"I am still carrying some hamstring discomfort, but every day I feel better. The truth is that over the past week I have worked fine."
"I suffered an injury with Spain and could not play against Macedonia (two weeks ago). It was a shame but then during that week I was treated and could play [against Swansea)."
"I'm working to get the best physical condition soon. The games we have now, almost every three days, will help me to get fit."

Chelsea boss Mourinho urges Spain to rest Diego Costa for their next Euro 2016 qualifiers:
Not putting the star striker's dodgy hamstring through games against Slovakia and Luxembourg will help his club and country in the long run, says the Special One

“I think if he doesn’t go to the national team and stays here 15 days for treatment and recovering, he has the perfect chance to be top for Chelsea and top for the national team.”
“If he doesn’t have this period to put himself in good condition...the muscle is in danger of rupture.”
