Real Madrid have offered €85m for James Rodriguez, have reached an agreement with him, offered him a 5 year contract and €8m wages a year, according to RMC.

Monaco are interested in including Diego Lopez as part of the deal for James Rodriguez, while Real Madrid would consider offering Khedira, according to AS.

Benzema apparently signs contract extension until 2019, €8m a season, according to El Confidencial.

I am not liking a lot of the transfer news that surrounds RM this summer..

Entirely not sold on Kroos replacing Xabi's role - this will truly be an experiment and I am not one to experiment when things are working.  Kroos is a fantastic player and I absolutely rate him but he is most comfortable from a more advanced role than we will ask of him.  Just like in the case of asking Isco an AM to play CM we are asking a CM in Kroos to play in a CDM position. (not to mention he is questionable in defense as well as defensive positioning)

Keylor Navas is a fantastic keeper- was definitely one of the best in La Liga and was obviously a revelation in the WC but with the amount of young quality keepers out there why would we go for the less expensive option when we look to be breaking the bank for players we don't need like James?

James - fantastic player but where would he fit? we no longer play with a 10.  At Porto he used to play as a winger but we don't have the midfield to support such an attacking wing play let alone a 10.

Di Maria and Khedira out- now I would normally have no issue with this but where on earth is the news of replacement?  No way would I let go of two midfield assets without assurance of Vidal AND Pogba - or players of the same ilk

Real Madrid apparently have an option to sign Falcao on loan for a year for €12m and then to make it permanent for €33m, according to ABC. The loan would allow Real Madrid to assess his fitness.

Its BS.. kid has preformed really good as a midfielder by the end of the season. Its a shame we are going to play him at false 9 and later ship him off saying not good enough.

He was a good midfielder, but his best attributes are his ball control, dribbling and goalmouth instinct (IMHO) and as a false 9, those attributes would be put to their best use.
Plus, his killer passes in the final third are far better than his tempo-dictating type passes.

But I really think Carlo knows what he's doing... I trust him to make the right choice. Let's pray Perez doesn't interfere.

He just used Isco as an example because he tried him there last season. Pretty sure James will be picked before him to play there not to mention Jese

the team needs a natural cf who knows what their doing, watch us over play benzema and bash him when he gets tired just like last season

James will not play as a F9. Don't see it happening and it isn't something he does.
For Colombia, Banfield, Porto, Monaco it's never been a thing.

Well we don't use an AM so regardless he will have to play in an unfamiliar position

Ancelotti has already confirmed that Isco will be playing the false 9 role, when it isn't being filled by Benzema...

Looks like Ancelotti wants to keep Di Maria, unfortunately the club will end up selling him.

Only one club can afford him right now and they have a 60 ME transfer cap on top of money they get from selling players. They spent all the 60 ME on David Luiz and reached their wage cap giving him what he wanted. Nobody in PSG will be sold for as much as Perez wants for DiMaria which is why (allegedly) PSG want to give us Cavani for DiMaria or alternatively loan him for a season with a compulsory buyout next summer which would be ideal if it was Kaka not DiMaria. So ultimately it looks increasingly likely he will stay. Advantage of that is that he is an awesome player and we will have enough play to cover for any long term injuries in ANY position. Disadvantage is that unless he is a main stay in the starting line up and we win the CL again his value will just drop from here which is bad for Perez.

Didn't PSG want to sell Cavani? Haven't read anything about us getting him. Also there were rumours about Man Utd being interested in Di Maria.
