Why it is imperative for Manchester United to stick to their word and stand by their manager

Dear MUFC board and fans,

Manchester United is among football clubs what the United States of America are among nations - the shining city on the hill.
We, the rest of the world, are watching and looking up to you for guidance. We are observing very closely if you stick to your principles, if you keep your word.
The world needs you to lead the way, even if you're 'leading from behind', and it is crucial you act in line with your principled morality, provide an example of reliability and determination, of uncompromising belief in the righteousness of your cause, even if it only results in chaos and destruction.


Was it only words then, what we kept hearing about the United way?
The United way is to believe in loyalty, longevity and quality.
The United way is NOT to sack your manager on a whim, just because he had some bad results, and then some more bad results, and then some.

We heard you all those years, and we need to to be true to your word now, and true to the United way, as it is the right way.


And what's more, it is really very, very cruel to provide us with such a source of joy, as Moysie has become for the whole football world, only to take it away from us again.

So pull yourself together, this is not a joyride, you've had good times now don't be spoilt and do the right thing, as promised and pronounced, in bad times as well.
This is not a time to question leadership, this is a time to stand together, double down and follow through.

Support your manager!
Give Moysie time!

You got to be kidding Hans ???? This is a results business and what Moyes has generated is simply unacceptable. Let's just employ the same scenario we find ourselves in with a similar competitor in the same market (thus harbouring the same objectives and constraints). You can slot in Madrid, Barca, PSG, Bayern, etc. Even if you remove the traditionally more volatile and trigger happy regimes like Madrid and Man City, you would be hard pressed to argue the case that any of these footballing powers would retain the services of a manager who cannot maintain the performance of a team (which won the title a year ago) comprising a coupe of world class players and full internationals to maintain a decent and consistent level of performance and fight for the top four, let alone the title.

Man Utd appointed Moyes for the long term though. Problems were to be expected in the first season or two.

If they wanted instant success, Mourinho was available or they could have went for someone more proven.

mate. its not about the results. Results are fine. We can live with it. We were not expecting the team to win the league. Really thought all you guys (non MUs) are aware of it by now.
Its been repeatedly made clear on many platforms.

We were willing to give the clown as much as time he wanted if some or even any positives came out in the 10 months he had been in charge.

Instead please look at the body language of our players, and the manner in which play these days. It has really gotten out of hands.

Blaming the management for sacking him now is nothing but trolling IMO. Yes I agree it was long term. But the cut is so deep that if its not stitched even now, the whole club and its entire glory and legacy is going to be undone so abruptly.

Only United fans are not happy with Moyes, everyone else seems to like him.  

I still feel Moyes can be a successful manager at a smaller club where the pressure & expectations are not so high. His United days are numbered imo and he knows it.

Moyes would be a great manager for Newcastle.

A good manager wouldn't have fiddled about for nine months without installing a plan, not having an ounce of tactical knowledge, sucking up to one player while treating others as subordinates, not ridiculed the previous manager with petty squad comments, and the list goes on. The biggest failure is his inability to inspire his side. They quit on him months ago. He's not a winner and he changed how this set of players trained and performed. A top class manager may have changed the setup too but his ability to inspire, have a plan, and produce wouldn't have put off the players and inevitably lost the season.

The club is simply missing out on a manager not fit for the job. A manager fit for a club happy to avoid relegation with the odd European spot challenge. He can go manage Leeds or Fulham or whatever. Now the club can find a manager with a clue about modern tactics and training, and one that has a plan from the start.   

Needs at least another 3 years to build a proper team ffs

Took Fergie 4 years to win a trophy ffs Moyes already won a Community Shield Disgraceful
